AND I'M JUST A DEAD MAN WALKING TONIGHT
To his relief, Gordon didn't bolt. For a moment there, he'd thought that she might take off despite his warning; but she stayed, and it was oddly gratifying to find that she trusted him enough to stay still, even if it was clearly killing her. That was... strange, frankly. Few people trusted him let alone tolerated him much these days. As the Raptor investigated the flowers, he glanced up at her, making idle rattling vocalizations in the back of his throat as a means of chit-chat. He had no idea if it meant anything to her, but hey, she hadn't eaten him yet. He was vaguely amused as she fiddled with the flowers, and when he felt the puff of breath on his head, he commented lazily, "Bye, Baby."
And then she was gone, and Bast turned his attention to Gordon with a slight shrug. "I know you don't, but I can't exactly just ask them to leave. They don't have a clue what we're saying." A pause. "Well, they understand food. I'm working on the whole talking shit, but yeah, for now, until they decide to leave, I guess they do. Sorry, Gor."

Honey, you're familiar, like my mirror years ago, Idealism sits in prison, chivalry fell on his sword, Innocence died screaming; honey, ask me, I should know, I slithered here from Eden just to sit outside your door. [sup]▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃[/sup]
