Starting with the dog finding one of the scarves Amunet made, and promptly stealing it. He would have left something, but the dog seemed to be on a rush and bothered.
A new pink scarf hung around his dirty neck, despite the absence of scars. He was sniffing parts of the camp quickly, and throughly. As if he were looking for something. Anakin had entrusted him with this duty. Now where were they?
The dog Ivan held himself differently. More straight and in control of his posture. As he got used to this body, he was more aware of it and increasingly aware of the fur and smells. He wasn’t as dirty. Granted, he didn’t know how to throughly clean himself. But he wasn’t jumping in the water as often. No, Ivan resorted to the shade.

Ivan was aware of things like feeding himself, suddenly understood the local gators, and aware of his actual placement.
He wasn’t quite sure what or where Tanglewood was, but he knew he was in it. Zimavich hadn’t been aware of the territory. Ivan wasn’t quite sure what a proxy was.

If you had to ask him, it was a bit like.... slowly waking up. Suddenly he remembered about small objects but he didn’t know where they were. He felt grounded to the Earth.
Ivan felt he was remembering.

Which is why he was troubled now.
