//haha this is long and bad but thats ok bc its 2am mostly just fun anyways
EDIT: its no longer 2am and ive changed up what izuku discovered Entirely so sdfasf
Izuku hadn't been all that thrilled about the camp move, to be honest. He'd gotten used to being in close quarters with all of this clanmates -- just some dozen steps and he'd be at somebody's room. He could walk down the hall and hear whatever was going on. So he hadn't really been looking forward into moving into the village and being separated from everybody. Luckily, he wasn't actually gonna be living on his own. Izuku wasn't even responsible enough to live on his own. Honestly, even having his own room was kinda problematic. Some days he'd just stare at the wall and not get up and somebody needed to force himself up or to even take care of himself the bare minimum. Luckily, Aizawa and him had agreed on living together. Which was a little strange, considering that Aizawa had been his teacher, and now they were here. Izuku wasn't really complaining, though. The, uh, house, that they'd chosen was pretty compact. Not anymore compact than Izuku was used to, though -- honestly, it was a lot more spacious than Izuku was used to. It really only had two rooms. One, the bedroom, and two, the, uh, front room. Plus an extra room, he lied. The bedroom was on the top floor, the front room was just sort of ... a livingroom. The storage room was just behind that.
Izuku was ... kinda at a loss on how to decorate, honestly. He couldn't go too crazy or Aizawa would complain, but Izuku just wanted to make it ... homely? Well, he had half a room to decorate all on his own. And then he could do whatever else to spice up the rest of the building. The bedroom in question -- half of it was Izuku's, really. Just half. And he was gonna paint it even if it killed him. He couldn't paint his room back at his apartment, but now Izuku just had to get paint! ... Which he had to steal. To be fair, the humans were gone, he just snatched up the things they'd left behind. And it was even a nice shade of yellow! Painting was hard, though. The fumes were making him so dizzy and his head hurt, but he got it done eventually. It was a fairly vibrant shade of yellow, but it wasn't too saturated, so it was nice! He'd had to wait for that to dry till he got to decorating it. In the meantime, Izuku had taken to the backroom. There weren't any planned uses for it, so could Izuku be blamed if he made it his personal room? Like a storage room! But it was all Izuku's stuff. ... And other stuff. He had something like a mini-kitchen set up. It was just camping gear type stuff placed along a wall, but it'd suit his needs well enough. Izuku couldn't really cook without hands, anyways. The other wall was kinda ... stuffed. And so was the floor near it. Izuku had hoarded a lot of stuff overtime, but it was mostly like ... hobby stuff. For drawing or crafts or other stuff! Then some of it was dedicated to blankets and other such fabrics, and Izuku had a lot of those. ... Then the rest of the wall was dedicated to medical stuff. Not just herbs, since those were small, but other equipment too, thanks. To be fair, it was less than a third, but the wall was pretty wide. What could Izuku say though, he was dedicated to his craft. His rank. Whatever. And to think less than a year ago he'd been training to be a hero!! Which ... he still wanted to be. A lot. This was just a second choice, but that's okay. There were a bunch of pillows set along the ground, varying in sizes. Just in case he needed to turn this room into a medical room or something. ... Did the village even have a set medical building? Probably not. But either way, this was just in case. He'd hung up some assorted posters and drawings he'd come across, and though the room gave off a very messy feel, Izuku didn't mind.
The upstairs room, though!! Izuku, again, was kinda limited with this one, since it was half of a shared room. He'd put down a few pillow as his bed next to the window in the middle of the room, of course. Though as he started piling blankets on, it just became some sort of ... nest. Literally, it was just pillows surrounded by blankets. It was even completed with plushies!! He had a lot of those -- Izuku used to have an All Might plushie, before he became a cat, but he didn't have that and he'd just started picking up a lot of these for some reason. He's not sure, he likes them. Anyways, he'd just sort of scattered them around his sleeping area. Anyways, he had a few bookshelves, too, just on opposite ends of the room. One of them just had a ton of his notebooks, and some spares. They were all labeled, of course. It had a few regular books, though. And the other shelf was just ... instruction books. Medical guides and instructions and research of all sorts, Izuku had a lot of those. He'd always been a bit of a nerd, there. There was a little corner dedicated to note-taking or whatever it was he did. It wasn't a table or anything, Izuku wasn't any good at those, but there was definitely a mat to make sure he didn't spill anything. There was, of course, another pillow to rest on, a plushie to keep him company(he didn't have more than six he promises), as well as a little ... mini-drawer, to hold his little ink containers. For drawing, see? A light, a container of water to clean his paws off in, but otherwise it wasn't much. There was a blue rug over the remaining space, and if it clashed horrible with his wall, so be it. There were a ton of posters set about this room, too. And drawings Izuku had done, of course. They were especially clustered around his sleeping space and drawing space, and there didn't seem to be any set theme to what they all were. If Izuku couldn't have All Might posters, he needed something. Anything.
The ... living room, or whatever it was? Less important. Just a bunch of pillows, a rug, and maybe a couch in the middle of it. How did they get a couch in there? Good question. The table was set in front of it, just a regular coffee table. ... He'd set a growing marigold flower on the table, just as decor. Some lights, some single painting he'd found. Oh, but there was a fireplace!! This room may be mostly empty, because Aizawa and Izuku really didn't need a ton of space, but a fireplace was nice. ... The room wasn't very organized, though. It had a vaguely livingroom-esque feel to it, but it was pretty empty, and it had a corner dedicated to board games. All and all, the house was a mess, at least as Izuku had it. Izuku hadn't been able to organize it in the same human way he would've liked, and he had to compensate for literally everything about his new form. But it was fine. This was fine.
Anyways, at the least, this was how Izuku left the house. Aizawa might change things, Izuku couldn't be sure, nor did he really care. Stepping out over the doorstep and into the snow, Izuku needed to explore. He'd been in a fairly energetic mood for the past few hours, and despite how much everything hurts, he can't just stay here. So it's with this that Izuku bounds off, gait lopsided due to his injured leg, which he had been able to compensate for eventually, yes. They should be able to find new stuff in this area, right? New landmarks, new everything? For as restless as Izuku is, though, he shouldn't leave the village. That's just not a good plan -- not that it is literally any other time he does it, though. He could explore in the village, though! The Maine Coon's tail wags as he stops to consider which way he should go. He wasn't looking for a regular house -- he wanted to see what sort of public buildings there might be. This was an abandoned place, they've gotta already have stuff, y'know? So it's with this in mind that Izuku sets off for further in the village. He's not quite sure what he's looking for, honestly -- just something to catch his eye. A lot of it just looks like regular houses and the occasional official-looking building, but none of them really interest him. They seem like they wouldn't have anything particularly interesting besides just .... office stuff, he's not sure.
Then he finds it. He's not sure what it is about the place that has Izuku's attention caught, but the Maine Coon stops and blinks at the building. It's a two-story building, and looks ... kind of like a house, but not its so big. Izuku considers it for a long few moments before he veers away from his path, grinning, and steps inside. It could just be a large house or whatever, but the instant he steps into the red-painted building, he's assaulted with the scent of old books. Izuku stops dead, blinking in bewilderment. A ... library? And as Izuku casts his gaze around, it gives off such a ... library-ish feel that he's kind of astounded. There were so many books! Even more than in his old group! The Maine Coon's tail beams as he steps the rest of the way in, though he quickly finds himself slipping on the floor due to his wet paws. He yelps, landing face-first on the shiny floor. He's surprised it wasn't rotted or anything. Also, the landing hurt. Izuku grumbles as he rights himself in a sitting position, and starts from there.
Strangely, along each side of the door was a bookcase. Actually, on the first floor, there was one along each wall except for the farthest, where a large, cozy fireplace was put. There weren't actually a ton of bookshelves on the first floor -- in fact, it seemed to have more of a common room feel. There were a bunch of tables and couches and such set out, and a large, dusty globe sitting nearby one. There were still a ton of books sitting on some of the tables. Still, standing up and walking along the floor, just underneath the towering bookshelves, Izuku finds that none of the books are terribly recent. It's to be expected in an abandoned place, he's glad they even have books here in the first place. The stairs go straight up, and so Izuku painstakingly clambers up them.
When he gets there, he finds the second floor is more dedicated to books than the one beneath. There's quite a lot of bookshelves, with only a few tables set out for studying away from everyone else or something. And there's just -- so many books. He's getting excited -- there's more books than there were in his old group! He hadn't even had a library to spend time at till now! Finally, ways to spend his late nights! Well -- hopefully. He'll need tea to stave off the migraines. Anyways -- the place is awfully dusty. And musty. It could really use a cleaning -- light didn't shine well through the various windows solely because of the dust caking them so heavily. Maybe Izuku would take up the cleaning them in his spare time? Oh, but -- theres a room farther back, isn't there? Izuku blinks at the door, neatly tucked away in one of the bookshelf aisles. So he wanders in, a little wary but more excited than anything. It's just -- more books, obviously. So many books. There's a single ominous table in the somewhat large room, but otherwise it's just kind of ... bare. Aside from the books, of course. I mean, it was just a really old library, so it was to be expected. This room seemed more dedicated to guide books, though -- medical, and some other things Izuku couldn't read. Seriously, he just can't read them. It's not like English was his first language. You couldn't blame him. But with this all explored, Izuku isn't quite sure what to do. What, start searching for hidden doors or something? Izuku didn't have that kind of time.
