Those had been the first words on her mind when she woke up a few weeks ago. The voice that had spoken it had not been her own or anyone's that she knew. It was what was worrying. She had bolted awake just as dawn was blooming, and though the world was bathed in a brilliant light, Suiteheart felt encased in shadows. She was having an increasingly difficult time shaking herself from her dreams. Everything felt so real, as if she was actually living them. It made her skin crawl, and often times, when she blinked her eyes awake, she had to check to see if she was actually alive.
The first few times she had dreamed of the voice, she had not been able to remember what it was saying or who it belonged to. Now, a few weeks into things, she recognized it as clearly as anyone else's, and she could remember its warnings and harsh words. She knew the voice came from something ancient, malicious. It had green eyes that rivaled emeralds, and they burned into her hotter than the sun. His name was always on the tip of her tongue in her dreams, but she could never figure out what he was called. He always killed her before then. She shuddered as she thought about it.
The terrible dreams were why she was crafting a dream catcher. She had only ever owned one in her life, and while she had it, it seemed to work. She just prayed it could help her again. Her slumber was restless, and she wore exhaustion like a black eye: extremely obviously. Even when she watched the moon with Cooper, relaxed and happy, whenever she returned to her room to sleep, she couldn't find those feelings. It felt like she was haunted by something, but she wasn't sure if that was what one would call it. She wasn't sure of anything, honestly.
Regardless, the white feline was sat in the Observatory, random materials scattered around her. A book sat to her immediate left, and she was skimming its pages. It gave detailed describes of dream catchers - how to make them, what they were used for, and everything else that encompassed them. Suiteheart was almost finished with hers, and she could not wait to hang it up.
