[align=center][div style=" background-color: transparent; border: 0px solid black; width: 530px; min-height: 9px; font-family:; line-height: 110%; text-align: justify; padding: 20px"]After the incident with Pixel, Suiteheart had been putting off fixing her border signs. The winged creature had fallen out of the sky on unsteady wings, and had then used Suite's sign as a landing pad. All her hard work went down the drain, but she supposed she was at least glad the thing hadn't killed Pixel. That would've been... rough.

All that aside, Suite had a job to do. The recent influx of joiner and just the weather in general was beginning to make the signs look a bit rough in her eyes. Plus, there was still the jarring sight of that one royally fucked up border marker. She wanted it fixed.

But that was her cross roads: she could either fix it up as best she could, or she would have to scrap it and make an entirely new sign. Both thoughts angered her. Fixing it as is might mean it would look shitty after it was finished. Making an entirely different sign would mean she would have to find more of the same wood (because consistency, you know?), and she wasn't entirely sure where that wood had come from. For about an hour, the deputy had poured over the two possibilities in her head, weighing each one carefully.

Against her better judgement, she went with fixing up the sign. The wood was split, and a chunk had fallen off in the last storm. It looked downright dreadful; the stars at the top of it were cracked and broken where the chunk had fallen off, so her first priority was finding wood glue. Thanks to a rather helped npc, she found just that. A few hours slowly ticked by, but she had managed to reattach the piece that had fallen off. Not only that, but she had used to claws to carefully resurface the stars and hide most of the blemishes. She could not really cover up the cracks at the base of the post, and that pissed her off.

Once she finished, she stood back to look at her work. Though it looked a whole hell of a lot better, she was not pleased with the outcome. Despite all of her hard work on restoring it, she wished she had just tried to look for the wood to fix it. She flicked her tail in annoyance, studying all the obvious (to her) problems.
