AND I'M JUST A DEAD MAN WALKING TONIGHT
Bastille offered no flicker of change at Margaery's arrival -- it was not so much tension any more as... nothingness. Apathy. Likely he'd entirely stopped avoiding her on purpose or standing as far away as possible, as if that involuntary anger when she appeared had disappeared. Instead, he simply carried on as if she were a stranger, not someone to draw a reaction out of him -- as if he simply did not care for her one way or another. And he supposed that he didn't, not when he could barely feel anything these days. Hell, half the time he only felt a flicker of anything toward someone was when he was with the girls. Maybe he had a weak spot for kids. (Rather, he had a weak spot for his mentor's kids only, but whatever.)
He tilted his head slightly, studying the cover, and noted that this one wasn't one that Pele had pilfered from his library. Bast wondered idly where else she was stealing books from, and drawled idly in response to Hazel's suggestion, "The Celtics have some interesting stories, too. I have something on the Welsh dragon's folklore, I'm fairly certain, if you're taking a particular interest in dragons." A pause as he considered, idly lost in thought as he mentally sorted through his options. "There's one particularly dry reference on most mythological creatures that's a bit awful to read, but the illustrations are nice. Remind me to find that one for you later."

Honey, you're familiar, like my mirror years ago, Idealism sits in prison, chivalry fell on his sword, Innocence died screaming; honey, ask me, I should know, I slithered here from Eden just to sit outside your door. [sup]▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃[/sup]
