Sylva lifted her head, concentration broken by the sound of someone approaching. She was about to huff in annoyance until she saw who it was, and then a soft smile broke out on her face. She thought her aunt Suite was really cool, even though she and her uncle didn't seem to get along much. She wasn't sure why, but she knew better than to ask. She didn't want to make either of them unhappy. Instead, she pretended like she didn't notice the tension whenever they were around each other. "Hi, Suite! I'm just reading this book Pele gave to me," her sister was ever generous, of course.
She loved all her adopted family members, but none of them could compare to her mother, at least in her eyes. She thought it was only natural she was close to the one that had gave birth to her. "I'm not sure, she said it was about fantasy creatures," she replies, flipping back to the cover. On the leather was a picture of a scaled dragon, flames bursting from it's mouth. The kit knew better than to believe in such things, but it was still interesting to read.
Then there was uncle Bast. He was a bit intimidating, but it was still nice to have him around. Plus he had some really good books stored away. She giggles at his teasing and shakes her head, deciding to just take it as a compliment.
