Margaery did not handle death well.
It was ironic that a being who was tasked with killing to survive could not, would not, deal with the crushing finality that death promised- at least with her friends anyways. Strangers earned only the faintest of winces as they, usually, fell to her teeth and claws. Starrynight prompted tears - shocked and upset- to halfway blind her vision as she stumbled towards him. Not believing, refusing to believe, that he had somehow found himself in this awful state. [color=#b14767]"Starry," She would choke out, too overwhelmed with despair to even be disturbed by the scent of blood that filled the air. No, her leader would come first. Always. Always.
[color=#b14767]"We need a medic! Quick! Quick!" The Starstruck guardian shouted, refusing to leave his side. She wouldn't. She wouldn't. [color=#b14767]"Hey Starry, everything's going to be alright. You'll be alright. Just hold on for a few more minutes until someone gets here and then we'll get you fixed up, okay? Don't worry. Please don't worry," She babbled quietly, words almost incomprehensible. He was going to make it out of this, right? She admittedly didn't know. That fall... it was bad, incredibly bad. She was truthfully a little surprised that he even made it to the floor alive. But he had and that gave her hope, hope that she would not so easily let go of.
The flow of blood needed to be stopped, she knew that much, and ever so delicately, she attempted to place her paws over the gash. It'd be a temporary fix, she told herself, one that would have to do until her clanmates arrived with the things that would fix him up. Because he was getting fixed up- there was no other way. [color=#b14767]"Just hang on, Starry. I promise you'll be okay. I promise... Just focus on my words, everything is going to be okay." I hope it is... He's dying... He's dying.
The reality of such hit her like a truck but she continued on, hoping that her words, if anything, would provide comfort. That's really what anyone needed when they stared death in the face, she believed.
Comfort.
