ROMULUS MALUS - KINGPIN - COTC
Romulus listened with the intent of disappointment. His muscles were tense, slitted pupils narrowed, and claws unsheathed from their sockets. Even so, he found himself surprised by his vicar's response. The lion knew Byriath had the rationale to handle himself, especially in a moment of mutiny, but with his experience with Sojourn and her daughter going off the hook, he couldn't help but be weary. He could not lose another to madness.
His body relaxed visibly and claws returned to their safe position. The kingpin exhaled in relief and shook his head at the other. "Then your actions are justified," Romulus stated bluntly. "Next time, incapacitate them and we can deal with them when they come to their senses." Death was not necessary if they could help it. The lion couldn't exactly pick out if Byriath could have avoided their death, but wasn't willing to press further. He held no reason to. There were other things to attend to either.
Proven by their loyalty time and time again, the lion approached the other closer and let his gaze look them up and down. A few wounds were noted here and there, more specifically by their neck. A paw reached out towards the others chin, attempting to raise it up with the back of his paw to see the full damage of their neck's condition. His other paw started to conjure some herbs at his feet slowly. "May I?" he offered. Romulus, although not verbally admitting it, was offering his healing as a courtesy and an apology.
