✯ — it just sucks to try and explain

The morning activities of the camp were no such strange thing to the mute though he often stayed away within his own home out of favor of not being disturbed in his morning routines himself. That and maybe he was just a homebody, also beating the drums of exhaustion, though that was more of an unconscious choice. It wasn't what he truly intended to encounter, though none ever did.
Peering out of one of the windows of his own home, would he see the familiar tortishell silhouette by the pile of fresh food. At the thought of food, his stomach would hound him and he would debate emerging into the open until it made the decision for him as it growled again and began to make him feel queasy. Perhaps it was too long since he'd eaten properly, leading him over with quiet pawsteps.
As he drew near, his ears swiveled to point backwards, something in the other's behavior telling him that Cory wasn't at one hundred percent. Slowing down, he waved his tail cautiously. Was the other Tangler alright? He genuinely didn't know and it worried him greatly, more than it should for someone who was pretending to be impartial to his group mates. He'd seen how Cory would look out for the elderly and for Firefly and he admired the others strength to do that for others.
He didn't know why but he thought to himself, 'Cory doesn't look so good. Is he okay?', unaware that his inner thoughts were reaching out in an attempt to contact Cory. He wouldn't remember much of this ability of his own in the past, he hadn't really used it to communicate with anyone except for Fragglerock when the child had fallen in his old home. If it reached Cory or not, the mute wouldn't know unless a reaction was given.
