His maw was stained with blood. Next to him in the snow, was a dead frog. Harrison had been practicing how to hunt, and when he had spotted a frog in the snow (something he thought odd. Weren't they cold-blooded? What was one doing here?) Harrison had stalked over and pounced, effectively capturing it. The kitten then proceeded to bite the frog everywhere until it stopped moving. Now he could say for sure he was a successful hunter. Though he shouldn't have wandered far from the camp, because now he was lost and mewling for help.

Seeing the little brat so far away from home was a strange. She had been flying overhead when she saw what looked like a crop cricle of blood. Strange. She swopped down to investigate when she heard it. Mewling. She sighed, falling furthur to the ground. She landed with a quiet thud, turning up to face Harry. So his mouth was bleeding? Probably broke a tooth or something. Though, that didnt explain why it was all over the ground.

Cry took a step forward when she noticed the frog. She raised a brow. The hell happened to that poor thing? She turned back to harry. What caused the rat to come out here and absolutely brutally slaughter a poor hibernating creature? Was it her teasing? She shut her eyes, a chuckle escaping her throat. Good. The kid was learning.

Good job, squirt. she walked pased the kitten. She turned back to him from a few feet away. She rolled one of her wings. homes this way. Ill buy you an ice cream or something. To say she was proud would be a bit of an understatement. But hey. It worked. Tease someone enough and hold something right infront of them and theyll find a way to take it. She supposed that harry's bait was being strong. Strenght wasnt something people were born with. It was something somone has to train their endless lifetime to achive. Lotus personally trained her himself and she liked to think she was fairly strong. Depended on what kind of strength one was talking about, though. Strength came in all shapes and sizes. She blinked, observing harry. Perhaps even in kitten sizes.

Cry was giving herself too much credit. Harrison wanted to hunt, and this was done out of practice, not because he was frustrated or anything. He'd been wanting to practice for a while now, and when he had hung out with Aizawa, the kitten had only been emboldened by telling the lion he would work hard to be the best hunter the clan's ever seen. Though he would graciously accept the avian's words and take her advice. He picked up his frog and held his head high as he padded back home, tail wagging. He had done good, and with enough practice, his kill might not be as messy next time.

Said lion wasn't too far away. He was getting bolder and bolder, traveling farther away from camp with each day. He wasn't worried with getting lost much anymore, as he was mapping out the territory. It was best to learn it, since he'd be around there for a long while, it'd seem. While he was trudging through the snow, which was gradually becoming slush with the heat, he came across Cry and Harrison. The first thing he noticed was what the kit held in his mouth, a green form with obvious bite-marks all over it's body. He would teach him how to strike effectively, but really, he wasn't completely sure, either.

"Hey, kid," he says as he approaches, stopping in front of the pair. He looks down at his kill and nods with approval. "Good job--but you should work on killing it more effectively. The throat is probably the best place to strike," really, it's the best advice he can offer. He's only hunted once or twice, so he wouldn't be sure. But it's pretty obvious. Hopefully he didn't turn around and use it on an enemy in the future.

[align=center][div style="max-width: 600px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 9pt;"]Drawn to the sight of Harrison (he's the only one of the group who Mel even cares to be around), the solitary wildcat approaches slowly with predatory grace. Catching onto the last part of Aizawa's words, the lionheart barely manages to choke back a laugh. "That's surprisingly good advice coming from you," she does not mean this as an insult--she simply finds it ironic that someone almost inexperienced in hunting is trying to give another inexperienced hunter advice on the craft. This sort of sweet, sweet irony cannot be planned. For once, the young female's usually stony expression is alight with amusement, albeit faintly. She directs her attention towards Harrison, casting the child a ghost of a smile. "You're doing pretty good, kiddo. Next time, try and be aware of the vital points on your prey so you can kill it in one blow. They won't always be smaller and weaker than you, so the sooner you take them down, the better." She doesn't bother going into specifics because, in her opinion, proper hunting can only be learned through shadowing others and personal experience. But she hopes that she can offer him some advice that he can think about on his own.

[align=center][div style="borderwidth=0px; width: 55%; color: black; line-height:115%; text-align: justify;font-family:arial;"]The tuxedo tom glanced upward as a group approached the main cave — Harrison, Melantha, that one Tweety Bird, and some fella he didn't know. It looked like a pretty normal picture, although the kitten had blood all over him. He pricked his ears as they neared closer, showering Harrison in compliments and giving him tips for the next time he went out hunting. Jeez, what were they? Hunting masters? Jerseyboy knew how to catch a mouse when he needed one, sure, but these guys had it down to a T. "Huh, didn't realize there was such an art to hunting." Jerseyboy snorted.

He turned his head and shrugged. "It was easier when cars would just run 'em ova' for you." In the city, there'd be lots of roadkill. Raccoons, rabbits, and especially squirrels. The place was infested with them. However, there were no cars out here, and you had to rely on your instincts. Jersey glanced down at Harrison once more and hummed, "But you did good, eh?" He couldn't stop noticing the blood that stained the boy's maw and he told him, "Clean yourself up, wouldja'? You look like an axe murderer." He was sure that Jacob would have a near heart-attack if he saw him looking so gory.
