WHAT A PRIVILEGE IT IS TO LOVE — Harrison had asked him to preform a play. It had taken nearly all week but he'd finally decided on how to go about just that. Jacob wasn't one for dancing and acting anymore, mostly because his legs were too unstable for such things, but he could sing. That when when he came upon his idea. Beginning with a song and then transitioning to narrative. It would be perfect. Still, as he dragged his guitar out into the tunnels and after pasting little posters everywhere (specifically, he'd put oneon Harrison's bed so the boy would be excited about the event without Jacob simply telling him), he was supposed to preform it. Now, he stood in one of the tunnels and began strumming. He repeated the first few chords a few times as people began to gather, wanting to give enough time for at least a few people to hear the opening notes. "Whenever I was frightened, whenever I felt alone, I turned to the night sky and a star I called my own. Somewhere I could run to, just across the milky way. I feel like I could take you, it's just a light year and a day." Jacob's voice was notably different as he sang. His accent was completely gone, replaced with one that seemed caught from an older, Scottish man. While not many knew of it, Jacob was decent as replicating just about any accent he heard. It wasn't really a talent that came up often and, honestly, he preferred that most be entirely unaware of the fact. He hadn't been able to change his vocal register, unfortunately, so he had to raise the original arrangement a bit but it wasn't anything too bad.
"We could sail away tonight, on a sea of pure moonlight. We can navigate the stars to bring us back home. In a place so far away, we'll be young, that's how we'll stay. Every wish is a command. We will find ourselves in never, Neverland." Jacob adored this particular musical. Perhaps that was predictable. It was full of tones of optimism, hope, and dreaming. Then there was the plot itself, which involved orphaned boys finding a new father figure, which resonated deeply with a little boy who just wanted his family back and, if he couldn't have that, to just have some sort of family anywhere. That combined with the catchy music and spectacles onstage, had made it a certain stray dog's favorite play to peek into. "Picture a land that you never have seen, where life is eternal and evergreen. A future of happiness all in your hands, all in this place of your dreams, here inside Neverland! We can sail away tonight, on a sea of pure moonlight. We can navigate the stars to bring us back home! In a place so far away, we'll be young, that's how we'll stay. Every wish is a command, we will find ourselves in never, Neverland..." He was nearing the end of the song now and he was well passed the part where a woman would join the man onstage. He could still see all the lights and the scene that was meant to play out on stage. It was as though he'd only seen it yesterday but it'd been months since then. "Every wish a command... I am closer now to finding Neverland..."
