Despite his son’s comforts and affection this whole situation was a flurry of emotions. In an overwhelming manner satisfaction and confusion as well as disbelief would flood the jaguar.
Piers... was back?
He just stared at the boy before him. This must be how the others felt when he has risen. Joy and elation shadowed by sheer concern and doubt.
But it was true. Piers was back despite some different additions and changes to his body.
Tears would swell as he leaned in to their nuzzle, closing his eyes as he was happy to feel the warmth. This was a moment he would want to savor forever. This was a wish come true. His boy was back!
But the hybrid would pull away and Kydobi would duck out of the hut. Listening to their explanation. Astiar would come over and speak the truth as it was.
Piers was back. That was good.
Tears swelled and streamed down his eyes, “no one means to die son. You don’t have to explain. I still can’t explain my return. Somethings are what they are and do not need an explanation.”
