this was truly strange, visiting a neighbor, a neighbor that they had once known. the former pittian marauder waited at the border of the halls of hiraeth, a small basket of goods and supplies sitting beside them, their tail curled about their paws. "hello! my name is bai shi, kingpin of alithís evgenis and i have come with an invitation and gifts." they announced their presence with a bow, the blind shifter in their jaguar form, a dark pelted body with vitiligo making unique markings across their pelt. a pair of deep red oriental antlers stood out from their fur, small golden ornaments and jewelry decorating said antlers. their jian was strapped to the belt looping their chest, the ornate weapon's handle glimmering in the sunlight, decorative sheath glinting ever so slightly in the shadow cast by their form.

cottontail wasn't all that aware of the pitt themselves, truthfully. having lived in the halls their entire life, they only heard of outsiders from the stories brought from newcomers. much like the crowd redvox had gathered when first returning.

still, even they were ignorant to a majority of what had happened. just that there was a big war that had went on and redvox had been ready to return home. they were eager to see someone new though, especially with the arrival of foreign things.

"hello! my name is cottontail. may i ask what this invitation is for?" the fisher shook the hood from their cloak off their head, regarding them in a more polite and formal manner.

turning their head as they caught a new scent and a new voice, they smiled warmly, "hello cottontail. this invitation is for a feast and a celebration of the new year, held in the lands of alithís evgenis, my group." they murmured politely,
committing the scent of the halls to memory for when they might next meet the group.

"is redvox near? i didn't know him all that well, but i remember him. i used to be in the same group as him before both of us left." they ask softly, scenting the air out of habit, the scar crossing their face and eyes crinkling up as they sniffed the air. "we live just off the coast, in and on the cliffs. can't miss us, we've got two giant towers as a landmark." they laughed warmly, thinking that any of their children may have followed them to investigate new things, fresh out of the nursery. flicking their tail softly, they nudged the basket forward, "we meam no harm".

REDVOX "VINNY" ABRAMO - cis male - goat-bat hybrid - harbinger

It was odd, having someone on the border who didn't smell like any of the four main groups. Well, at least not overwhelmingly like one of the main four groups. Usually when there was someone who showed up to talk to them that wasn't already aligned with one of the bigger groups, it was a loner or rogue looking to join. In this case, however, it was a familiar face, and one that made Vox smile as soon as he came up beside Cottontail. It had been quite a while since the male had seen Bai Shi, and even though he had been keeping in contact with the Pitt fairly consistently, he had missed the other. Moving forward a little bit, Vinny said warmly as he moved to embrace Bai Shi in a sort of hug, which was a little bit difficult considering his large wings were meant for balance, "Bai Shi! It's been so long since I've seen you. I never got a chance to properly interact with you before everythin' happened." Moving back a little bit after the hug, the harbinger eyed the basket that had been brought to them, seemingly processing what the other had said. A celebration of the new year, huh? Vinny didn't really know anything about this new group, but there was no better way to learn than by interacting with them. Turning his gaze back to Bai Shi, Vinny practically cooed, "We'd be honored ta come 'n' join in on the celebratin', Bai Shi. I'll be sure t'try 'n' be there, and anybody else in th'Halls who wants to can feel free." He looked towards Cottontail as he finished, just to make sure that they heard him. He didn't want the Halls members thinking they couldn't go and have fun.

amusement filled the beast as they caught his warm scent, turning their head in surprise, sensing him moving towards them in what they assumed was an embrace. smiling easily, they lifted their paw to embrace him in return.

"redvox, it's been quite the eventful while! oh trust me, it was probably for the best that we hadn't interacted while in the pitt. many crazy things. did you hear that kydobi was chosen as the new ardent of the pitt?", they ask, remembering their own slight madness while they had been in that group's borders. smiling as they released him with a flick of their ears, they chuckled, "my children would be more than happy to meet anyone who comes, and try to befriend them. the lunar new year celebration we are hosting is based off of my home's own celebrations of the long ago orient. our feast is more of a gathering, mixed with a potluck and a meet and greet. we might even host a competition. we would be happy to have you all there."

Vinny grinned when Bai Shi embraced him in turn, very glad that Bai Shi wasn't pissed off at him for leaving the Pitt. Although really it would've been a bit hypocritical for the other to be pissed, when seemingly they were at least splitting their time between The Pitt and this new place, Alithis. When he pulled away and heard Bai Shi's words, the hybrid's eyes widened slightly, a soft gasp leaving him as he spoke, "Wait... really? Kydobi is in charge of the Pitt now? Well... that's wonderful! I mean, I'm glad to 'ear he's doin' alright. I got real worried after I left 'n' heard about what happened to 'im through Aine 'n' Gael." Vin made a mental note that he needed to go and visit sometime soon, considering it had been a long time since he had been in the warm desert that the Pitt resided in. He missed everyone there that he hadn't seen at any of the events they had hosted. Deciding to focus instead on what Bai Shi had said to him afterwards instead of letting his mind wander, Vinny spoke softly, "Well, I'd be more than 'appy t'meet your children too, Bai Shi. I'll be sure to go to both of those, 'n' I'll encourage everybody else ta go as well."
