[glow=#000,1,400]WE'VE BECOMES ECHOES BUT ECHOES, THEY FADE AWAY — 。+゚.[/glow]
Word of mouth was a very powerful thing. He'd heard of a gem, called the Storm Pearl. It was said to priceless and used for courtship dances. Successfully stealing the treasure is my job, Kuroba reminded himself. He had not wanted to do a heist so quickly while joining a group, but what had to be done had to be done.
Kid had actually sent out one of his doves - for safety reasons. He heard about how dangerous this group was. He figured they wouldn't hurt one of his doves, and if they did, the dove should be quick enough to make a getaway. This was gonna be a problematic heist, given his morals of not hurting anybody - trying that if they decide to attack him would not be fun.
Kid, all dressed up in uniform, made sure he didn't smell of Tanglewood. It was hard to find a field of mint, though. He stands a ways from the border, sending off one of his doves into the territory. It flies quickly, and goes into the camp, clutching Kid's letter. It drops it off at Bai Shi's abode, the unfortunate victim in all this.
Hopefully this gem won't be another dud. I do not want to come here twice. He calls his bird back, and disappears into the night, a smirk upon smug features.
The letter goes as follows:
"Bai Shi of the Pitt,
I am KID the Phantom Thief. You possess, and thus, it is in your ownership - the Storm Pearl. In one week's time, you will no longer have it. I will come to steal it. I wish you luck in trying to stop me.
- Kaitou KID." Among the letter, there was KID's signature, but also his telltale symbol: a crude drawing of a cat's head, wearing a monocle and a white top hat with a blue ribbon.
