delicate the twist of fine smile upon their lips and oh how sweet their melody
voices bells crying out in ringing tones

  ii. they are everything you are not. heavy the want echoing within the vastness of
your chest, bitter the taste coating your mouth. your eyes burn with tears you
refuse to shed, weakness not allowed beneath their wandering gaze, no matter
the press of gentle fingers seeking only to pry your worries from you

  iii. he is hard edges and sharp points, fragments of glass bound about the untamed
heat of fire. warnings ring in your head, their whispered pleads fall upon ears
grown deaf in the wake of so much

  iv. you feel it in your chest first, bubbling and growing, warmth within the gentle
brush of feather light joy. wonderful the arms about your waist, light the hold
for he fears you may break, delicate porcelain tended to with utmost care

  v. upon your tip-toes are you when finally the courage raises, ashen the taste of
his lips beneath the tang of something more – alcohol you are sure, wound
through something that is purely him. gone is it all, worry misplaced for here
your life has found its beginning the worry of false divinity lifted from trembling
shoulders. for him were you made and so was he made within your counterpart
whole are you both there with arms clutching tight

  vi. i will find you no matter what – against his lips you make the promise, weight
within careless words of ignorant youth but you know it shall linger caught on
the edge of thought and he smiles, fingers gentle in their wandering.

  vii. in the depths of winter does it find you, chilled the touch upon your throat but
the warmth of spring brings with it new hope and the gentle touch of those eyes,
the press of his lips upon your own
