— I. friendship / hard
she's a very guarded person, and thus it's hard to get close to her. trust is difficult for her, considering what's happened in her past, but that doesn't mean she isn't lonely. she craves close relationships but is too afraid to search them out, always second-guessing the motives of others. if someone were to earn her trust and friendship, though, she would be a very loyal friend, willing to bite the bullet just to save their hide. but that loyalty is easy to lose, due to her strict moral compass. cutting off her friends is painful, but she's more than willing to do it if they prove to be someone she doesn't want to be around.

— II. romantic / hard
like friendships, getting into a romantic relationship with her is difficult, if not more-so. besides her obvious trust issues, she also just doesn't understand romance and flirtation. anything remotely flirtatious goes right over her head, unless the person spells it out for her. most times she won't take the initiative to start anything, even if she's harboring a crush (which she likely won't even know is a crush), so it's usually up to the other person. confessions in public or out of the blue wouldn't be in her interest, so she'd prefer something more private.
