Someone had left an egg at the border, obviously not caring for what would happen to it. Light blue and dark blue swirled together to form beautiful outer shell, which was warm but steadily getting colder as the minutes rolled by.

[align=center][div style="width:60%;overflow:auto;font-family:verdana;font-size:11px;text-align:justify"][[ I have been informed that egg is basketball sized ]]

Izulu hadn't been around a lot since he had joined, but he was getting there. Every day he had been slowly going through the territory, memorizing where he was and how he got there, and trying to figure out if there was something new in places, see if there were any secrets. Having been looking out for changes, the egg that was left at the border did not go unnoticed. It might have been had it been a small egg, but this thing was big. His head was bigger than the fragile thing, but it was big nonetheless.

Padding over to it, the large male lion would sniff at it, ears pinning back to his head before he turned around to look to see if someone was coming, anyone, before looking around to see if anyone was leaving or coming back. Maybe the mother would be back? He didn't have high hopes though, considering there was no nest. "Hello?" He would call out, "There's an egg here!" He'd sit by it for now, keeping it away from the water, keeping it slightly warmer than before.

[align=center][div style="width:60%;overflow:auto;font-family:verdana;font-size:11px;text-align:justify"]Head turned swiftly at the sight of the avian and the leader coming forth, eyes watching the bird with curiosity for a moment before Goldie spoke. He knew nothing of her or her parenting abilities, but he knew that if she had enough responsibility to eventually become the leader that she was now - he didn't have an issue with giving up babysitting duties to a female that actually wanted to take care of it.

He would have had it come to that, but he didn't know the first thing about parenting - not to mention he didn't really have the instincts or resources to be a mother either. Head would nod once as Goldie spoke before taking a small step back. He stayed close enough to have his body head radiate still - though now less - but was far enough away for the egg to be taken away.

Eggs were something instinctual to her kind considering they laid them and her own egg had been fairly large. Now at roughly half her adult size? Masie was actually big enough that if her pack had not been killed she would have likely been helping her mother keep a new clutch of eggs warm. Of course, the raptor didn't know what she was missing nor that a few members of her family had been out looking for a new nesting ground when the attack that took everyone else out happened. Heck, Masie didn't even know about the attack. All she knew? Was she wanted to sit on that egg and Lynn was in her way. "Move!" could birds understand her? She had never stopped long enough to figure that out, but she chittered at him anyways. Just by instinct she knew that she was far better than a tiny eagle for keeping such a large egg warm, she had to sit on it. "Goldie make him move, it needs kept warm properly." she chittered the words out in her tongue, frustrated she couldn't speak theirs but hoping Goldie would get the gist from her gesturing around. That egg needed sat on and it was too big for the eagle in her opinion.
