This was the visit Clarence was least worried about. Even if he wasn't sure exactly what the outcome would be, he knew he wouldn't be attacked here, which was comforting. As he arrived at the border, his eyes took in the familiar surroundings. While he hadn't been here long when he'd stayed here, it'd been long enough to know those that resided here had strong character and that whatever happened between their clans in the past meant very litte. To him, anyway. It was time to find out how they felt about all of it now. He came to a stop at their border, settling down and looking out over all that lay before him. "Hello? It's Clarence Aston from the Ascendants. I've come with news and a request. I was hoping I could speak with Bucky, if that is at all possible," the man called.

Link hadn't hesitated to take up Clarence's offer of going to Sunhaven and the Typhoon. Adventuring was still in Link's blood, after all --  a week wasn't going to change that. This was really just an excuse to get even farther while still sating his ingrained desire to protect. He wouldn't be much use to the political part of it -- Link had never been good at politics, and he was too unwilling to talk, anyways. On the plus, Sunhaven wasn't even an enemy of the Ascendants, so he didn't need to worry too much, anyways.
Link's pawsteps are quiet as he trails after Clarence, ears perked to attention. He doesn't sit when Clarence does, merely stands a step behind the panther as they await the Sunhavener's arrivals. With any luck, it wouldn't be long.

From what he'd heard, it looked like he was the one in charge over in The Ascendants now, which wasn't all that surprising to Steve. He was prepared to trust his judgment- anyone willing to help a stranger couldn't be anyone too malicious or war-mongering, not unless Clarence somehow planned it all to put himself in good graces for some higher, nefarious scheme none of them could have seen coming. Steve doubted that. It was good to see someone willing to risk it for the little guys up at the helm- not that Bucky was much of a little guy, but with Stryker, he'd looked like it. In many ways. At the end of the day, Steve was grateful it hadn't just been him there to get Bucky away, so he did feel like he owed Clarence something for that.

Trust was the least he could do.

"You're welcome here anytime. Buck'll be here soon." The small feline gave him a firm nod and a small smile, glancing at who accompanied him, but the canine hadn't said anything. "I'm Steve, in case you don't remember."

Bex remembered him - he was an Ascendants member that had become apart of their group as well once neutrality was established. For that Bex respected him, and was calm and friendly in her greeting, wearing a bright smile upon her muzzle. "Hey," she woofed, fluffy tail wagging as she came to stand next to Steve. She nodded along with her clanmate's words, knowing that Bucky should be here anytime soon. She definitely wanted to stick around to hear what news and request Clarence had to present to them, hoping it was good news. She could really use some good news.

It was really funny to Bex that she was acting so friendly to an Ascendant after feeling so terribly about them before for quite a long time. She was always willing to forgive and forget though, and she was glad that they were all able to do that. All that Sunhaven had to worry about now was the Pitt - which seemed to be a far worse feud than the one with the Ascendants had ever been. The Pitt was ruthless, and that was one thing that the Ascendants had never been. Ridiculous at times, yes, but never ruthless.

If Clarence didn't intervene when Stryker attacked, who knows if Bucky would still be Bucky today. Just to think that he could've fallen down that dreadful path sends chills down his spine. He was grateful for Clarence's help-- as if the panther didn't intervene, Bucky wouldn't have made it safely out with Steve. Who knows, Stryker might've ordered him to attack Steve, or someone else in Sunhaven. The maine coon quickly shook his head, shoving the thoughts out of his skull. He shouldn't think of these scenarios, Stryker failed, he's completely fine.

When Clarence arrived at the border, Bucky was surprised to hear that he had news & a request. Buckingham expected to see Atticus waiting for him, making his way silently in after Bex. Atticus wouldn't send a messenger along with a request, was there a change of leadership in the Ascendants? He thought momentarily to himself, as his gaze locked on the panther waiting before him. "Hello Clarence," He said with a formal nod, "How may I help you?"
