―――― While perhaps a bit later than typical, there was always a time to celebrate the holidays and treat someone special in you life with a few gifts. Not only that, it was a challenge to consider what your chosen gift recipient would want or like the most, especially if you had different interests than them. In the end, it was just a small, fun little way to celebrate the holidays and have fun with one another. In the observatory was a small box with a stack of papers and a pencil neatly on top. The box had a small label that read, Secret Santa Submissions: Join by December 20th, when pairings will be made. Have gifts presented to your gift-ee by December 25th, (or December 30th at the latest). The papers themselves read the following:

//Half IC half OOC thread! I hope to have pairings for the Secret Santa made by the 20th, roughly, so that people have time to present gifts around the 25th. I know this is a bit late so I think having gifts given by the 30th is more realistic, but of course having them by Christmas is preferred!

More about Santa. It seemed ever since he arrived he hadn't stopped hearing about the mythical figure. He didn't really mind, though. He still didn't quite understand the tradition but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Whoever Santa was or had been, he seemed to bring a lot of people joy and Clarence couldn't argue with that. He was all for anything that made people happier and he was glad that he'd come off the Queen Charlotte to be put in a world so full of happiness. It was a stark contrast to the barren walls of the ship, even when he'd had a few friends there. However, he did have to admit it made him miss his own family. He wished he could be with his mother and Christine, but he couldn't allow himself to think like that right now. He would just live in the moment and be happy now, as much as he could be. He told himself that one day, eventually, he would see them again. He didn't know how or where but he couldn't bear the thought he might never see them again. It was easier to believe he would, even if it was a lie.

The man moved forward and grabbed some paper, as well as a pen and carefully filled it out. It was so strange to write as an animal but he went slow, trying to make sure the words were at least legible. He wrote:

Like her brother, the wolf failed to grasp the concept of Santa - but she understood that this meant free gifts. And she wanted to fit into this weird little animal group; they treated the Astons better than the damn repressed pieces of shits that populated their previous country, so Vale felt obligated to play nice. Even if it was so fucking annoying writing something down on a piece of paper without thumbs. How the hell did anyone write shit down like this?
