bai shi had gathered a patrol of their own after speaking with papercrown, the serval having returned and given them good news -- they were allowed to hunt in the ascendants' territory.

the roseblood's rain forest home has been destroyed in a rampage by lucifer, a dragon who decimated the territory. they had landed at the border, the golden dragon un-loading the patrol they had carried, reverting back to their much smaller gold and platinum fox body. they would clear their throat, searching for the serval's scent on the air, calling out a confident greeting.

they wore their bag as per normal, jian more visible than previous. just a precaution because this was an unknown territory and they were trying a new event out with a former ally.

"hello! i am bai shi, guard of the rosebloods, and i have brought a hunting patrol as was previously set up with papercrown!" they would cry, tail waving.

―――― While Atticus now lead the Ascendants, and Agathe had left it behind, he had no intention on going back on Agathe's allowance of the Rosebloods to hunt within their territory-for now-, especially after Papercrowns had done so well as an Ambassador to set it up between them. While the Ascendants territory would not be able to sustain two clans of people for very long, Atticus had faith that they would be able to easily supply their allies with some much needed food and see them back on their feet. There was strength in numbers, that much was certain, and as the Roseblooders made their way into the territory, Atticus was quick to make his way over to greet them all. For a moment he paused before Bai Shi, before his head dipped gently in a silent greeting. "Good afternoon. You are welcome, of course, to hunt some of the prey within our territory. There are presently no inherent dangers within our territory, but of course be mindful of the lakes and the waterfalls. They can sneak up quick. We are primarily made up of plains and forests, so you should find whatever you might enjoy."

bai shi gave atticus a respectful bow of their head, getting the feeling of power surrounding the male, something that should be given room to grow appropriately.

"good afternoon. thank you once more, ser. i do take it that you are not agathe? ah, we will not take too much from your lands, enough to feed the young and the wounded for sure. we are moving territories, so our numbers present are likely to be slim in this patrol. when we arrive at our new home, we will send out a thank you to the ascendants for what has been done for us -- feel free to call upon the rosebloods if you need help in response." the fox murmured, allowing themselves to relax.

"Welcome to the Ascendants Bai Shi," Papercrown would provide, dipping his head slightly, "If your group needs any help with hunting or traversing, I'll tag along and help bring some food back to your home, if needed."

a pleasant smile claimed the fox's smaller and pointy face, their eyes gleaming a warm greeting. "hello papercrown. it is nice to be visit with you again. ah yes, it would be much welcomed if you could show us around. i was afraid we might wander and disturb the territory." there was a slight hint of relief in their voice, the fox relaxed, yet willing to vocalize their concerns of upsetting their new ally.

in less hostile lands, the cloak that shrouded hebi was gone, and in the scares he refused to show before- where clear in the open day. Cuts and burn marks- some self inflicted and most small nicks of battle- where shown. against his dark pelt they were clear, but all the more striking was the grey monotone of his eyes, giving a distant facade as he traveled along the golden serpent to the ascendants.

Hebi was not costumed to such open borders between clans, and felt a little uncomfortable with such open hospitality. He kept silent, unsure of how to respond without a way that bai-shi already has. He keeps his scrutinizing glance just curious as his gaze flickers between the other clan- ascendance.

Hebi forgo his own companion with him, leaving the mamba behind to hunt them both smaller prey for when he returns. For now he is hunting for the clan, and it will always be a first. How quickly he falls into prioritizing his clan now is not new- but it's frightening how quickly he falls back into old habits. As long as none of the others carry on, he should be fine.

"It would be wise," the winged panther agree's with bai shi, solemn tone coming off as gruff and slightly hostile- cutting in a way he doesn't overly intend.

the guard would nod in hebi's direction, grateful for him to come forward from the group they had brought with them. "mm." they gave a noise of affirmation, mind rolling over the numbers of their group. "our territory used to be a rain forest, or jungle sort of forestry. something close to the prey types we had there, would be easier on everyone's stomachs." they responded softly, drawing over the finality of their mental calculations.
