[ ooc ] retro to sunhaven's flood events <33
Children had been caught in that mess, doused amongst the smoke and flames of the tavern, fire rising up into the blackness of the sky. The illumination of what was a massive bonfire, wood toppling and shriveling, ceasing to exist. While he was infuriated that The Pitt had gone to the lengths to try and set fire to their territory, starting with their Tavern, he was far more annoyed that children had been caught in the debris. He had charged in there to rescue them but, due to spilt alcohol and flammable materials, the carbon dioxide levels had been overwhelming. Children could have died that day and not nearly enough of their members had been awake to retaliate. While The Typhoon had a good number of fire and water manipulators, they were lacking in that one moment because The Pitt had hit them in the veil of the night. Cowards. They were cowards who didn't know how else to face the force of their island, the brutalities their pirates carried. And yet, contrary to his thoughts, he was coming to Sunhaven to deliver a message or an invitation. The young Quartermaster, of course, was no ambassador. He preferred to keep out of politics because he knew he had bad experiences dealing with other groups, bad memories he associated with his temper.
While he had met the merchants before, this was Bakugou's first time coming to Sunhaven. The place gave him nostalgia, making him feel almost sick because it reminded him a little of his old world. Everything had been set up in a way that felt too familiar to him. He avoids letting his vision wander off, stopping himself from scanning the whole territory as the ragdoll takes a seat at the border, waving his tail behind him in a bored but placid manner. The gates reminded him of the railroad tracks The Typhoon had.
