Enough time had passed. No other attempt by the Typhoon had been made as of yet. The faerie had heard of Pincher's retaliation, but nothing more. The Pitt member had been taken during the raid anyhow. Otherwise, nothing. No one likely suspected the endfield either. He'd played his part in the fighting, kept the Typhoon from getting their hands on every single captive. A fact Séamus suspected would bite him in the ass the moment his twin saw him again. Not a matter that needed dwelling on this second.
The Irishman had spent nights memorizing the pattern of the night. The locations in the fortress the Pittians most often stationed guards, how often they moved, the direction they'd be facing most often. Random chance always existed, but the Faerie knew it was well past time for them to try leaving. Time to make good on his promise.
Follow me Sibi. Closely. The endfield sent a mental suggestion, one by one, on the nearest guards, sending them into unconscious sleep. Precious time gained. Less chance of being spotted until they were well out. The vulpine turned back, keen sea-green eyes locked on the smaller figure of his neice, deciding to nudge her in front of him a little. Be really quiet. Not for the last time, Séamus felt relieved with their mental connection, saving them from the dangers of vocal communication.
He led them to a halt once they were a good distance from the fortress, still within the confines of the desert. A moonless sky hung above them, the only light the stars. Still, the pirate wished for more cloud cover. This barren landscape felt too open.
