He was feeling better and because of that there was more pep to his step so to speak. Of course these last few weeks had been tough and his leadership had started rather rocky. Especially with the Ascendants coming to them and one of their children accusing one of his own as a murder. It was definitely between a rock and a hard place. The Pitt had already been a concern and now they had the Ascendants to try and fix stuff with. With the Typhoon coming in after the fact with their monstrous raptors they couldn't' even control. He wondered how they were going to keep allies when they couldn't control those beasts? Especially when one of their own was okay with them go out into the world and attacking whoever they saw fit. They were even attacking other Typhoon members and that was okay? A part of him had to wonder what Pincher was even thinking, allowing for them things to stay on his territory. But regardless he allowed his gaze to shift over the boardwalk, eyes settling on the fountain. Of course he felt stiff but he was healing and he felt way better than he had the last couple of days so here he was to start the meeting. Webbed paws moved casually toward the fountain and he settled down, curling his thick forked tail around his body. The night was alive with the sounds of waves and shifting water, lanterns lit up brightly as crickets sang their evening songs. "Sunhaven! Gather before the fountain for a meetin'!"

This was going to be a short one he supposed and they had two people that had decided to join them so he would make due with welcoming them first and foremost. "Firstly, I'd like tae welcome Eri and Yusuke tae our home. Hopefully everyone has made them feel welcomed in livin' here. We also got a visitor as well, so big welcome tae Wanderer." A small purr rumbled in his chest as he straightened up his posture. Things were better, they'd get better and he had to just keep on hoping and doing what he could for the group no matter what. "Beverly is demoted as she has not been seen in quite some time. But she may earn her position back when she come back. Ilijas has stepped down from his post but we appreciate the work he has put in. Now I'd like tae offer the position of Hearthkeeper tae Bex and tae Wendell. Edward I'd like ya tae step up tae Dawngard and tae Goldenblood I'd like Gordon tae come on up. Warnins tae Persephone and tae Tena. I'd like tae see ya guys around just a little bit more." Contribution was key and he wanted to see them fulfilling their roles. After all there was a lot to do and one didn't get positions for no reason.

Looking about he allowed himself to relax just a little bit as there was going to be some big news here. "As of taeday guilds are no longer a thing here. We are demolishing them. They haven't been proving useful or productive. So with that said ranks will now have more defined jobs that were once linked to the jobs guilds were supposed to have been doing. My Hearthkeepers, ya jobs are tae as normal be the welcoming committee of the clan, the first face that new comers see. Ya are tae help with events and coming up with fun things for the group tae do. But don't over tax yaselves. They don't have tae be big events as those can come later with due plannin'. Dawnguards and Goldenbloods, like the warfare guild ya jobs are to remain the enforces of the laws here in Sunhaven, but ya also are tae be prepared for war. Trainings and the like are on ya shoulders. And now we are adding a rank into our system, it will be a high position ranking and one that will deal in all herbal medicines and seen as the healer of Sunhaven. It will be known as Solbinder. There will be a tryout soon for the position of Solbinder." Hmm, was that it? He wasn't sure but that was a lot to announce and he hoped they didn't mind dismembering the guilds. After all they just seemed a bit too much and too taxing to keep running right now. So he allowed his eyes to briefly look up to the sky as he shifted from one paw to another.

There wasn't much left to go off of after the big change that would be shifting Sunhaven just the smallest bit. They would most likely have a merchant guild instead. Something that would make it more known and to keep up with everyone whom had a shop. But that would come later on as he spoke up. "We ain't been trading like we should. Shops going empty and some closin'. So I'd like for some of us tae travel to some of our allies and that include Tanglewood as we are talking of an allianceship. Trade wares and get out a little, it's fun tae travel and I'll be making my way on over tae some groups myself. Weekly prompts should also be up for this week as well so look forward tae that too. Also any ideas for future events would be nice and those hat would be willing to set them up are more than welcomed. We can discuss them here or ya can come tae my home and talk with me there. Meeting is dismissed unless anyone has any questions or concerns about anything."

The newly-appointed hearthkeeper squinted his eyes at the announcement of his promotion. Nay, he was not disappointed, but surprised. His activity around here was not in plentiful amount, so the fact that he was moving forward rank-wise didn’t make sense. To him. Perhaps Monroe saw something in him that Wendell didn’t see himself, which was odd, considering the fact he’d never put others’ safety before his - yet. Oh well. He wasn’t one to argue. "Thanks, Monroe," he’d declare, ”and congratulations to the other people that were promoted.”

the silvery hued kitsune attended the next meeting after the first; venus supposed that keeping up with the news in and around the group was slightly more important than getting a good wash every now and then. which was already an extraordinarily low priority task. but none the less, venus was here, getting intio the swing of things as the vulpine idly listened on to the leader's words.

huh? abolishment of the guilds? venus wasn't quite sure why though. the kitsune was particularly fond of the concept but didn't dare to voice their concerns for fear of there being a genuine and valid reason that the kitsune just didn't know about yet. oh well. they would be a missed part of sunhaven culture in venus' eyes.

at the mention of tanglewood the kitsune shuddered slightly at the name of their former group, feeling a mixture of vague feelings the kitsune couldn't place. ambivalent mostly though. it was peculiar that sunhaven wanted to bond with the group. "i can go to tanglewood if you need. i used to live there so i know the way and might recognise a few faces." piping up, venus' tried arduously to get the leader's attention so that they may receive the all clear for venus to set off. exciting.

Quite honestly, Gordon wasn't expecting a meeting to be up, especially so soon after the announcement regarding The Typhoon. Nonetheless, the little she-cat came over as quickly as she could upon hearing Monroe's call, sitting towards the back of the group. As usual, the hybrid started off with the newcomers to Sunhaven, as well as the visitor that was temporarily staying. Next were announcements regarding promotions and such and upon hearing her name, Gordon straightened up. "Th-thank you, Monroe!" She chirped out before going silent, listening to the rest of the Helion's words.

Which was the abolishment of the Guilds. Gordon frowned at this, returning back to her normal slouched position. While she had noticed the Guilds weren't being used often but still... the Art Guild had been a sort of comfort for her. Although, she supposed, it wasn't like she couldn't just do things that she wanted; she could still make flower crowns or decorate the camp if she wanted to. Of course, with the Guilds being abolished, that meant the ranks had to be changed a bit and Gordon's tail tip twitched at the mention of what a Goldenblood's job was. So they were essentially the Warfare Guild. I don't like the sound of that, Gordon thought to herself, biting her lip. While she could potentially go to the Solbinder tryouts, she was too squeamish to deal with blood and injuries. But maybe focusing on war wasn't all she could do; maybe she could focus on defense instead? Or rescuing those who got captured.

That wasn't something to worry about right now. "Ah, congrats t-to everyone else promoted!" Gordon squeaked out, realizing she hadn't congratulated the others that were promoted.

Pierce was next to approach at Monroe's call, a little smudge of sky blue paint upon his chin as he scanned the slowly growing crowd for a place to sit. Eventually settling on a place near the edge of the group, since he didn't really see anyone in particular he would like to listen with, the Goldenblood hurried over to take a seat, just as Monroe began speaking. He began with promotions and demotions, which was a little unusual- though he'd never held a meeting himself, in all his time in the clans, Pierce had noticed that most people were only really there for the promotions, so he'd personally save that for last, to keep everyone attentive, but to each their own, he supposed. Hearing Edward's name made the serval's stomach churn, and he took a steadying breath, biting down on his inner cheek. It sounded bad, but he'd kind of been hoping that the gibbon wouldn't stick around for long- it was growing increasingly stressful to work alongside him, but it was fine. He'd manage.

Interrupting his thoughts was the announcement about the guilds, which the guild heads and Monroe had briefly spoken about a couple days ago. Pierce was disappointed to see them go, he'd admit - they had so much potential -, but he figured they could bring them back someday if they ever wanted. Anyway, he still had a defined job- protect the clan, help keep them in practice and trained up for any possible conflict. As much as he disliked fighting, he knew he was good at it, and he'd do everything he could to help.

Finally, trading. Pierce wasn't the biggest fan of the whole trade thing, as he would gladly give for nothing, but it was certainly an interesting idea, and if it encouraged other clans to make friendly ties with them, it was at least doing something good. Either way, he would do his best to support the clan, even if he wasn't super into it. Maybe he could bring some of his artwork, or maybe a bouquet of some sort, to one of their allies. "Noted, Monroe- and good job this week, everyone," he called softly, tail giving a small wave behind him as he got to his paws with a small stretch.

Another day, another meeting. Bex had already been here for a couple weeks now, and was beginning to get the hang of Sunhaven's routines. As usual, the collie came bounding up towards the meeting place and seated herself down, smiling up at Monroe as she listened to him give the announcements. One thing that she was appreciative of was the fact that meetings never seemed to be held in the morning. Bex was certainly not a morning person, or, morning dog. If meetings were held early, there would be no doubt that she'd just sleep right through them without even realizing what she was missing.

The meeting started off typically, with there being welcomes and demotions. When the promotions came around, however, Bex was taken by surprise. Her? Promoted? There had to be some mistake. What had she done to get herself to the position of hearthkeeper? Did she really even want to be responsible? Responsibility was no fun, but yet Bex couldn't help but feel proud of herself for doing whatever she had done to get to where she was now. Good things like this didn't always happen to her, so she was excited. "Oh, well thank you! I'll do my best," Bex exclaimed, wagging her tail merrily. "And congratulations to everyone else."

The news about the guilds being demolished came as a surprise to Bex, though she supposed that it wasn't that big of a deal. Nothing too serious to dwell over, even though they were sort of cool. Oh well. What she was mostly focusing on now was what her duties were to be. She didn't want to mess this up, no. Not this time. Luckily for her, her new job was to act as sort of a welcoming committee, and being friendly was something that came easy to her. You got this, Bex thought to herself, hoping that she wouldn't screw this up.

The maine coon silently made his way into the meeting, entering shortly after Bex. It's been a rough past few days- right when the whole murder situation was coming an a close, another door opened. Of course, Buckingham was thinking of the raptors, but he had to quickly shove that out of his head. Monroe has announcements that he should pay attention to, not getting close in his thoughts. If he allowed his thoughts to run wild, then he wouldn't remember anything Monroe mentioned. He looked over towards the shark feline, tufted ears pricking forward.

What caught his attention the most was when the removal of the guilds were mentioned. The former assassin didn't feel upset from loosing an extra title, or anything like that. If anything, he thought the guilds weren't be used to their full potential too. This is probably for the better now, having the aspects of the guilds in the ranks. Solbinder was an interesting rank title for a medic position- Bucky knew he wouldn't be trying out, but he was interested in who would.

They certainly haven't been trading a lot lately, that's for sure. Unlike what Sunhaven is known for, Bucky isn't a merchant- he doesn't really have anything that's worth giving away. He has a knife collection and a few personal items, nothing that anyone else would want. But maybe someone else has items they'd be willing to hand out in shops or to allies. "Noted, and congratulations to the promoted!" He meowed, as his bushy tail wrapped around his paws.
