Water. Water was b a d.

He was determined — so determined, not to let a drop of the sea's salty contents to get on his face. Not that he hated the ocean, because this place was gorgeous, but he couldn't let himself somehow fall in and submerge himself completely under the surface. That would be detrimental in several ways, but let's not get into that now.

He felt the damp earth beneath his toes — clearly the water levels [sup]rose[/sup] and [sub]fell[/sub] here. It was sure a good thing that he happened to stumble upon this place at the right time. The border collie hadn't planned on coming to these lands and joining a clan in the first place, but he heard from passing loners that these places guaranteed shelter ( and protection, which Baby needed badly ).

Baby happened upon the entrance to the island, though it didn't look like it was a great idea to go any further without waiting for someone to come by. Perking a floppy ear, Baby glanced around curiously and hesitantly made his presence known, "Hello... ?" He hoped and prayed that he wouldn't get jumped by someone. He heard that these ferals were decent beings, but he had no idea what exactly to expect.

Kirishima didn't see water as bad. He only saw it as interesting. It was the home of many strange and unknown creatures and it was bottomless. It did kinda scare him, to be honest. He had never been so close to the ocean before in his life so he was still somewhat uncomfortable around the sea- so he attempted to stay away from it as long as he could, but he still found himself on the beach most of the time.

Upon hearing Baby call out for anybody, the red-feline would blink and in his curiosity, he would walk up to the border collie and he would glance upward. "Hello, you're in the Typhoon's territory. Name and business?"

It's easily be both fascinated and bored by the ocean and its splendor. On one hand, Bakugou fails to see the wonder which came by the rising and falling tides. The blankness which spread before him, daringly touching the horizon with indifferent hands, makes him feel tired. There was always a fragile nonchalance which drew the strength of the waters - fragile because the water did not like to be controlled or restricted and could grow wild at any moment, pouring devastating effects. Despite the similarities, however, water was nothing like his fire. No, it was much scarier. It was fluid, capable of bending in ways that fire could only dream to destroy and decimate, capable of being so much more than his fire. The only thing he could do was turn it to steam if he tried hard enough, but it was draining. He supposes that brings him to his next point - water is fascinating, a body of life and possibilities, creatures swimming within the darkness and murk. There is a strange relationship between the sea and the moon, living on each other's push and pull.

Bakugou says nothing when he sees Kirishima stumble across a stranger, eyes glistening when he looks at the male. He wonders why his friend is even up and moving after being so brutally attacked, surprised that the perpetrator had left him alive. If it had been Bakugou, he would have finished the job. He supposes, however, he should be glad that the red-furred male was alive. God only knew how the privateer might have reacted if a life had been taken that day. Not wishing to sit and ponder the well being of Eijirou or philosophically think of the ocean, he turns his critical gaze towards the border collie, a silent judgement befalling the stranger. No words escape him and one can only see the soft but visible wrinkles forming between his brows that must have been furrowing at the male, smoke puffing from his nostrils as though he were a fire-breathing dragon.

Baby had never seen the ocean up-close before. He had grown up on a rural farm, rich with grassy fields and rolling hills that stretched for miles ( it was a dog's paradise, really ). He had only really heard about the ocean, but now that he was close and personal with it? He was concerned with not falling in. Luckily, however, he was pretty much out of the "danger zone" that was the main stretch of the train-tracks.

He was confronted by two cats — both males, one normal-looking and one that was very red. Only one had spoken, however ( the red one ). His eyes were attracted to the smoke that ( d r i f t e d ) from one of their noses, and the icy glare that pierced into his. Did he naturally look this angry, or was he just having a bad day? Gee, he hoped not.

Baby cleared his throat before formulating his words ( he hadn't actually used his vocal chords in a while ). "Hi, uh ... I'm Baby." He had visibly gulped, wondering if these two would criticize his given name just like everybody else had. It wasn't uncommon for people to comment on his name, he supposed. "Do you think I could stay here? I don't have a place to go anymore." ( For reasons, but he would not elaborate. )

Bakugou had always been an outsider in his own way, or at least disliked one way or another. It was just the vibe he gave off, the intoxicating aura which possessed his body and radiated an air of superior detachment. To make things worse, he was bound to swearing. He couldn't help that he felt oh-so passionate about his expression of words, an overwhelming will to stress his words. For that reason, he often felt a burdening loneliness which sat along his sternum, threatening to collapse his rib cage should he be suddenly aware that he was unhappy with this feeling. He simply couldn't it. He was fueled by a certain rage that made him both alive and disliked, a smoke which enshrouded him in anger. Then there was Bakugou's 'tough love'. He was never direct about his care for others. He expresses his 'love' through bitterness, swearing and growls. In an anime, he'd be called a 'tsundere' - cold, vicious and aloof, but so helplessly loving of the ones around him. He was fiercely loyal to The Typhoon and those who earned it. Nothing was as strong as his respect for others when they had gained it.

The ragdoll crunches his teeth together, pressing so hard that his molars begun to make his gums ache when he notices the stranger's special attention towards him. He felt that he was being judged or personally attacked, almost growling when the male's lips parted as if he was expecting an insult. No...he was only doing what Eijirou had asked of him. His ear flicks at the ridiculousness of the other's name: Baby. He better not be, Bakugou's mind wanders defensively, be attempting to make a joke of Bakugou and his friend. He was willing to fry this 'Baby' into ashes if that were the case. "Stay here," he echoes the dog with a scoff, rolling his flaming eyes before continuing, "Y'know this is The Typhoon right? We're pillagers, warbound, and full of drunk shitheads." A snarl rumbles from the hearth of his throat like as if it were filled with shifting coals. "Well that's not for me to say. You're in if you want in. Enjoy the fuckin' jungle juice while you're at it."

He was not as the moon was, gentle yet insistent in its want to draw the ocean as it so pleased, and in turn did it pull upon that celestial body, but something tugged at him all the same. It did not matter the salty brine was not within him nor the chilled glow of the moon within its crown of stars present only during the night, the ocean drew him back, a longing to feel the sand beneath him arising always.

A gentle tide was this desire, curling about his heart and pulling at the strings, a soft siren song ever present beneath the flow of thought. Yet was such a surprise when one remembered his father called the ocean his, harbouring the status of a lesser God given capabilities few mortals might hold. There was no such power lingering in him, a vessel for something more, a force all the greater than the soul which animated the body which crept closer, curiosity within a hooded eye, but Silus was nothing more than a mortal beneath the thumb of a being who had deemed itself a God.

“If ya don' wanna stay wit us drunk shit'eads da door is right der,” gentle was the murmur of the exhausted Sage as he drew closer to the three, giving the one to whom he spoke a quick glance though the single dark eye held no malice. He had no care to expend energy on such when Bakugou had shown himself a formidable opponent, someone the injured child had no want to tangle with in such a state, though it would be a hard lie to speak if he dared venture to say he would willing go against him in a fair match. Brief was the flick of his attention towards Kirishima. It seemed he had missed an injury and filed away a mental note to check on the beta later, scolding himself for missing it. Though not overly prideful to allow any under his care to go without treatment was not permitted but he had been laid up for a time, his own injuries needing time to heal before he was permitted to work once more.

“Baby, huh? Well, Cap says all 're welcome so do as ya want,” lifting a shoulder it was apparent Silus cared little one way or another, it would merely be another he would need to keep track of and at this point he cared little for those already under his care up until they needed assistance, otherwise they could do as they pleased for all he cared. "Name's Silus, una da 'ealers."
