there really was no reason for aphra to stay here. after all, the only reason she had joined was because of her carrying pincher's kits, though she acted like her reason for joining was because of her father. it was probably known by how she only joined to get fame throughout the crew just because she fucked and had kids with the captain. so why did she stay here?

aphra had no reason to leave, that's why. she was content here, with no drama following her around... for the most part. now aphra absolutely loved drama and was likely the root of it, if her father wasn't the cause of it first. the oriental longhair enjoyed how everyone overreacted to things and how easy everyone got upset. hell, her own kids were upset with her for not being around! so what? the she-cat mused to herself as she laid on the dock to the island, mindlessly moving her paw in circles in the water. they're lucky they have a parent that actually cares for them.
yes, her mother cared for her dearly but there was a difference between caring and being a hovering parent. aphra hated how her mother always stayed close to her and was happy when caesar murdered her, because it meant she could be free to do whatever she wanted.

unfortunately for her mother, that meant sleeping around. the very thing she was trying to avoid aphra starting.
