His Majesty Prince Kai Caspian Kozlowski was somebody who did not quite like to socialise with others. He was sheltered, violent and generally just clueless as to how to talk to others without causing them to hate him. He had watched his mother get murdered and his father develop a hate for those known as 'Blackfallen' and the unnatural and freakish mutants that seemed to reside in Blackfall.
The child was but ten years old and held onto so much senseless hate, learned from his father and those residing within the empire of Griffingate. He did not know how to form his own opinions, influenced by the heavy guidance from those around him and his wanting to please them all, afraid of what may happen if they were not satisfied with him.
Being constantly told to 'grow up.' being told 'don't be so immature.' and restricted by things like 'you're too old for that.' and 'stop being such a child', his childhood was cut short and the responsibilities just kept piling up.
He had enjoyed talking on the Blackfall chat but had said things that..had made people angry and he didn't really know why. He had stated why he didn't really like Blackfall but had continued to stay in the chat until he, like always, screwed something up.
what had he done.
why had he said all of those things? and why was there such a bad reaction? Those were things that everybody thought..weren't they?
The child had been pondering these questions while wandering the gardens, unaware of what was happening beyond the fenced in area. He was painfully unaware of the raid and violence happening.
Kai would only startle when he heard loud noises from inside, almost like muffled screaming and then the low squeak that the front gate made when it opened a short few seconds after that.
He did not know what was happening and would grab his sword belt from his room before heading out the side exit of the house, not wanting to get involved in whatever was happening in the front. He'd glance at the streets before jogging slowly towards a shop, hand gripping the hilt of his sword incase anybody decided to attack him. He didn't trust the loud noises.
Kai would startle, beginning to step back as somebody seemed to suddenly appear in front of him. He would prepare to draw his sword as he continued walking back to create a decent gap between him and the stranger but found that he had walked backwards into somebody.
He'd let out a startled squeak and panic as he felt arms wrapping around him, attempting to take him.
They were trying to take him away.
They were trying to take him away!
Kai would begin to thrash in the persons arms, opening his mouth to scream only to find a hand over it. He would bite the persons hand as hard as he could and found his mouth tasting like blood. The person would let out an angry cry and Kai felt himself being passed off to somebody that seemed taller, stronger, but before he was able to protest, he felt a gentle pressure within his mind and quickly found himself unconscious.
The child would awaken with the smell of salt in the air and a mild throbbing in his head, confusion evident as he slowly opened his eyes to see himself surrounded by a group of unknown people.
His hand would shoot to his waist, only to find his sword gone.
Kai's lips curled into a snarl as he glared at the people, stumbling slightly as he pushed himself onto his feet.
"Why in the name of God have you TAKEN me!" He would accuse loudly, an almost growl in his voice. "You fucking mutants had no right to even TOUCH me."
They were coming closer to him now, as if they were going to restrain or calm him down.
Kai would aim to kick at somebody behind him, driving his heel into their shin and thrusting his fist into somebodies nose. He heard a nasty crunch and the person was holding their nose, scarlet liquid dripping through their fingers.
The child would smirk and turn to run towards the docks, heart pounding in their chest as they set their gaze upon the large..mass of water. Kai would almost hesitate, knowing that if he jumped in that he would drown.
Death was better than captivity.
With a punch delivered to a slightly intimidating woman's chest, leaving her vaguely winded, the young prince would bolt towards the waters. He would not slow as he ran down the docks although his heart pounded and every fibre of his being screamed at him to stop, to run the other way, to do anything else. He knew that nothing else would get him away from these people.
The child would take off from the docks with a bounding leap, landing heavily in the water. He would try to propell himself forwards but found himself simply sinking under the dark murky depths.
The child had never learned to actually swim. He had always been too afraid.
He would take a deep breath as he breached the surface of the water and found himself almost pulled back down, the air that he had inhaled feeling almost foreign in his body. And then he was in agony
His body began to rapidly shift, skin twisting and bones moving reforming to better suit..whatever was happening to him. Kai had begun to sink to the bottom, mouth opened in a silent scream, pain very obvious upon his small features.
The child had nearly lost consciousness when he became aware once more, slowly blinking as he stared up..stared up from the ocean floor. Kai would immediately panic, scrabbling around and holding his breath for a few minutes before going still.
He was breathing. He was no longer in pain. He was different.
The child was indeed different now. His skin did not appear terribly changed for the most part but it now glittered in an almost iridescent way and looked..looked like scales if you gazed upon him while underwater..which he was. Underwater, I mean.
His legs were completely gone, not to panic anybody but there was something different in there place. A tail.
He also seemed to have a rigid yet flowing frill down his back, seeming similar in fashion to his..tail. He nearly bit his tongue off when going to lick his lips, finding that his teeth had also changed. They were much sharper and there felt like..there may have been two rows of them.
Kai found that he was rather calm in this moment, although he had no idea why. As soon as he realised this, obviously, he began to panic.
His now slitted pupils, although unknown to him, were covered in a thin translucent eyelid of sorts that allowed him to see the ocean around him and the ocean terrified him.
His breath would hitch, the new gills upon the sides of his neck struggling to work like they should as the child entered into a panic attack. at the bottom of the ocean.
This would certainly be interesting, given mostly that he hated mutants.
Somebody would need to eventually save him from the ocean floor.
