It was early in the morning when Luna had awoken. She had remembered that neither of her two daughters had gotten their pendants yet, so she had decided to wake them up. But before she did, she had pulled out some food for them- some waffles she had found in the Observatory's fridge and some fruits.

"Pele! Sylva! Wake up!" Luna would call to her children before adding. "I made breakfast!"

Sylva knew about the tradition of pendants, and being the rule stickler she was, she was eager to get her own. She planned to wear it proudly everywhere she went. But for now, she was aggravated to have to get up from the warmth of her blanket. She simply grumbles in response to her mother's call, shuffling further under the comforter's safety. But inevitably she gives in and trudges over to the breakfast Luna had prepared them. Staying in bed wouldn't do her any good.

"Thank you, ma," she says groggily and takes a waffle for herself before Pele came and ate them all. She didn't trust her sister to save any for her. "What are we gonna do today?" the kit had an aching suspicion their mother had something planned for them.

Pele hated shades of grey, so her pendant was something of an ugly weight for her. She understood the traditional value of the rite, and would go through with it, but like anyone else she had a choice whether to wear it around or not. She'd probably keep it stringed in a box under her bed.

The demoness' sister seemed to have a skewed vision of her, what she saw as taking everything that could be considered food, not saving any for others present, Pele barely ate at all on a daily basis. She snacked on her own hibiscus flowers mostly in between meals that were not real meat. She took an orange and half a waffle once awoken, and sat down away from her sister to eat. Questions had already been asked so what was the point of talking?
