IF LOOKS COULD KILL ✧ Vanessa Carlysle - The Typhoon

Vanessa had been exploring all of The Typhoon's territory. It was beautiful. The perfect paradise, she would say. With only one safe entrance to the territory, everyone should feel safe and at ease. Gleaming blue-eyes could be seen through the trees in the jungle, as the black-wolf strolled onward.

After several minutes of walking, the female had suddenly come to a stop, a smile making it's way onto her facial features. A large patch of white roses were in front of her, as well as many colorful butterflies. Nessa loved nature. It was always a pretty sight and you could find peace in your mind.

He was well adjusted for the extreme when it came to climate and temperature because of it, also thanks to his own natural defenses such as his layered pelt. Such physical attributes were quite pointless in a tropical rainforest, an island of humidity and warmth and not a flake of snow to be seen, even in the middle of winter. His current form was so horribly redundant, but he felt that he preferred it to his original Belgian Malinois body belonging to his first life. Ah, the things you'd do to escape the past! Or, rather, try to escape the past.

At the sight of the obsidian wolf upon his stroll, Iosef remarked, "Settling in well?" He, too, was a newcomer, technically, though in his instance he had returned to the island. But it was nice to check in on others that were truly foreign to the territory.

Vanessa was not a big fan of the cold. Her pelt was thin, built for warmer climates. And plus, it was summer, which brought more heat for a couple months. Then things would start to cool down. Snow was pretty, but it was harsh and unforgiving.

Slightly jumping upon hearing Iosef speak, the female would turn around, eyeing the Siberian Tiger. A face that she had not seen when she and Wade joined. "I suppose so." The onyx-female said before introducing herself. "Vanessa."

[div style="width: 45%; line-height: 14px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 13px;"]At her reply the mesomorphic tiger nodded in acknowledgement. "Good, good. I'm Iosef." It took her own introduction to realize that he hadn't really confronted her before, nor did he give her a proper welcome to the Typhoon when she arrived. He merely noticed her fresh presence around Barracuda Bay, along with some furless creature that possibly came with here, though he wasn't quick to assume the two were traveling partners beforehand. It could simply be a coincidence that they were both arriving at the same time, though Iosef thought this because he wasn't in attendance of their arrival, which proved otherwise.

His striking blue hues traveled to the white flower that erupted with bursts of flying colors—butterflies, and a whole lot of them. It was a picturesque sight, one of the reasons he quite enjoyed the group's territory. There was so much to marvel and gaze at, and it was theirs to greedily lap up in all of its glory. But the land wasn't what brought him to the Typhoon: it was the promise of glory and honor. He knew that he was going to go down sometime, but if he was going out, he was going out with a bang, and he'd go down in the history books...hopefully.

Perhaps it would be intriguing to hear the different reasonings of others, if they didn't find it too encroaching on their privacy. "What exactly brought you to the Typhoon?"

Iosef. A name from a place faraway, it seemed. Vanessa was unsure of her name's origins, but she wasn't really into researching on where the name first came from. "A pleasure to meet you, Iosef." The raven-wolf said, offering a small smile to the tiger.

Then she had seen the Siberian Tiger's eyes travel to the flowers and butterflies. "Nature is quite a nice thing to see." She would comment, watching as some butterflies flew all around her body, before they landed, mostly on her flank though. "I came here with a acquaintance of mine. His name's Wade. He's not very hard to find, as he's got no fur."

[div style="width: 45%; line-height: 14px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 13px;"]"A great pleasure to make your acquaintance, dear девушка," Iosef said with a courteous bow of his cranium directed to the onyx female. Vanessa was an...interesting name. A common one, but pleasant-sounding nonetheless. The name Iosef meant little to him, for it was not his actual name; it was rather a mere alias he used to escape from his own history. His real name, assigned to him by his family, was in fact Dimitri, though rarely would he let anyone address him by the name in this life. No one did, anyway. The surname Aslanov would forever linger with him, though: a trophy, one that could not be thrown away.

"Nature is...indeed a marvel. A painting in motion," the hulking tiger would remark with a soft smile as a black-and-blue butterfly landed upon his obsidian black nose, resting itself for mere moments before fluttering off beyond the canopy to who knows where. He quite liked nature and vastly preferred the flora and fauna of the tropical islands to the barren wastes of the tundra. Sure, he was physically more capable of survival in the most bitter cold, but who cares? There he survived for the sake of living. Here he survived to live good, to thrive and prove himself to the world. And if he worked dutifully, perhaps he was deserving of taking up permanent residence in a paradise like this.

Ah, so she did come with the oversized naked mole rat! They were an interesting sight, an admittedly mismatched pairing. A very good-looking canine coming aboard the pirates' ship with...whatever that Wade fellow was supposed to be. "Sticks out like a sore thumb. I reckon you're good friends with him? Or mere traveling partners?"

Vanessa's ears would prick at the sound of Iosef speaking in a different language. Interesting. She had not encountered anyone who spoke in a different language before the male. Amusement could be seen in her blue-eyes as Iosef bowed before she heard his next sentence.

"I happen to like reptiles, like snakes and lizards- though I doubt they'll be anywhere near this place. Do you happen to have a liking for any animals?" Nessa questioned, her icy gaze on the butterflies on her flank.

"I wouldn't call him a good friend, he's more of a acquaintance of mine." Vanessa said, trying to avoid any eye contact with Iosef after he brought Wade into the conversation.

[div style="width: 45%; line-height: 14px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 13px;"]His pools of blue glimmered with contentment as amusement filled her own upon his speaking in his native tongue. He had a sweet habit of pulling out little bits of Russian in place of English phrases, though he seemed to speak the latter language just fine, as fluent as everyone else in the Typhoon could. Sometimes it was a word or two that was replaced, as he had done just now, and in other times it was an entire string of phrases. Often he liked to use Russian swears—sometimes while keeping a content, cheerful disposition to confuse the other of they were not aware of the nature of his venomous words. It was more fun for him.

Noting that Vanessa would turn away at his mentioning Wade, the tiger resolved to end that part of the discussion there and instead focus on her next inquiry. If he was going to thrive in this group, he would have to get on the good side of them. Well, most of them. And prying into their personal lives was not the way. Hmm, a liking for animals? Well...he ate just about all of them. Except for... "Rabbits," he finally piped up. Yes, he did like rabbits. To the point where he didn't even eat them, ever. "I like...rabbits. But, ah, reptiles are okay too! I'm sure there's plenty on the island, hell, maybe around us." That reptile rubbish was a load of bullshit on Iosef's part just to make conversation, but he didn't fuck around when it came to rabbits.

Vanessa liked all animals, though reptiles came in first place. Fish came in second place. Upon hearing Iosef mention his favorite animal, Vanessa would chuckle at that. "Sorry, but it's kinda strange to see a tiger have a liking for rabbits."

The female would eye the butterfly that had landed on the Siberian Tiger's nose. "Seems it's taken a liking to you."

"I-I get it," Iosef remarked with a twitch of his round ear, trying his best to at least look amused and composed. To be fair, he got that a lot. A big, tough fellow as himself had no place liking such minute, soft creatures, mere prey that anyone could hunt. Even as a child he refused to hunt down rabbits and took a liking to feeling their soft pelts instead, skinning their corpses and carrying the little patches of fur with him. He grew out of these habits into adulthood, of course, but he would still steer clear of hunting rabbits. Not like they were so vibrant in a tropical climate anyway.

The fluttering butterflies came upon the tiger, one after another, resting on his dark nose and vibrant muzzle as if he were a statue. The crewmate did his best not to disturb them, but soon he felt an itch stirring with him. His head drew back ever so slightly and then exploded forward as a thunderous roar of a sneeze erupted from the feline, sending the flying creatures of color veering off elsewhere. Iosef's lips drew back in a thoroughly disappointed frown, bitter at his clumsiness and his intense desire to release his sneeze. Oh well. "Ach, дерьмо!" He seemed clearly frustrated at such a minute situation, his tailtip flickering back and forth in annoyance.

For a massive, mean-looking beast, he seemed to be quite a clumsy, gentle softie.
