would bai shi love her if she lived through that? maybe. she had nothing to lose, but everything to gain. so, off she went. no warning to anyone. just off into the wilderness to do what she must. her days were spent hunting insects, arachnids, and small lizards. she simply enjoyed the thrill of the chase.
of course, she flew mostly, but a few times she hopped along the land. until she found herself with her finall task. kill something to bring some bones back. she wanted to impress bai shi, so she was not going to fail this. she wandered the sands for what seemed like ages until she found it.
a lone little oasis lost in the dunes. water was important so she went over to catch a drink. lucky for her, she spotted the 'log' in the water. she knew it was not a log and she flew up as it lunged. that was impressive if she killed it, right? so that was her goal. she dove in to claw at the eyes.
once she was able to blind it, she waited. deciding to use nature to do her bidding. she dug the roots of a tilted palm tree on the shore the beast rested on. chewing through roots until she dropped a palm tree on the crocodile. it was small enough to be crushed easily.
then she set to work cleaning a rib and the skull. collecting them and heading home. her prize was heavy, so she carried them slowly until she finally set them down just inside the camp. a victorious smirk gracing her lips as she did so.
