searching.

one could see her waddling along. feet thumping the ground. until she found it. a break in the ice. she dove in and vanished. the icy waters swallowing her and likely to make anyone fear for her. yet, this was her home. this was something she was built for. so, it was not long before she surfaced and came ashore. fish in her jaws.

she would drop it and blink. debating on eating it or going back for more.

C:\Users\Rowan> Rowan had been walking along the river's edge, his head lowered a bit as he searched the ground. What he was looking for honestly I don't even think he knew. The scent of someone nearby drew his attention from whatever he was doing. His gaze lifted in time to see Sunburn slip into the icy water. The hellhound stopped in his tracks, head tilting to one side as he watched and waited for the smaller creature to resurface and when she finally did, holding a fish in her beak he decided to wander over. "I would say I'm a bit shocked to see anyone swimming but you can't feel the cold right?" He asked, question short and right to the point. He had read about penguins in one of his many books but had never had the chance to see one up close before.

the words made her head turn and she let out a squeaking laugh. head tilting as she took in the hellhounds face and words. "oh. no i feel cold, just not like most do. i enjoy it more, i suppose?" she answered with a flap of her flipper-wings. turning and eyeing the water again.

"i'm sunburn. most of my friends called me sunny." she offered happily as she looked back to the other and tilted her head side to side. studying them.

He settled down onto his haunches, reaching into his satchel that he always kept on him and pulled out a book. He flipped it open to a new page and set to work writing down the information that he had just been told, he didn't want to forget it in case he needed the information in the future. An ear flicked when Sunny introduced herself, his orbs flicking up towards the penguin as she spoke. He lifted his head, shaking out his mane and the jingle of his jewelry rung out as he did so. "It's nice to meet you Sunburn, my name is Rowan Lingré but you can call me Rowan."

the penguin watched as they wrote in a book like object about her. head tilting side to side. "rowen, huh? i like the name." she paused as she looked up at the larger beast. "do you study things like myself? if so, i can tell you anything you want to know. knowledge is powerful." she offered rather happily. she never had someone study her before.
