HISTORY:
Rainstep was born to two ex-clan loners, a tom named Crowfoot and a she-cat named Gullfeather, that had eventually found their way to the makeshift clan, where he was raised to be a hardworking warrior; he was the only surviving kitten of the litter, and the couple did not have more biological children after the fact. Not long after his birth, his parents adopted a she-kit by the name of Mistykit, later named Mistystream. Like the carefree Mistystream, Rainstep was quick to test their parents' patience (much to their frequent anger and frustration towards him), but for the most part he had a healthy relationship with his family. A rowdy kit and apprentice, Rainstep found himself wandering from home frequently and taking on the boldest of tasks, such as attempting to defend a patrol from a violent dog as an apprentice. He survived the encounter, though he gained a deep scar upon his muzzle along with a notable fear of dogs. Into adulthood, Rainstep became more akin to his parents, adopting a pessimistic-realistic mindset and foregoing his carefree values to focus on chivalry, honor, and ambition. Honorable as his path may be, it is evident that a light had gone out within him into adulthood.
