The unexpected voice naturally came from Feza, the unpredictable leopard. He stepped back so she could examine his work, and the sawbone found himself wholly uncomfortable with the attention his little painting was receiving. "Yeah, yeah, it’s grass," he forced out at the compliment. Every neuron in his brain screamed at him to deflect the praise to something, anything else. Yellow eyes dropped to the ground and focused on the leg of the easel, finding it very interesting at the present moment. His ears pricked up at the sound of a thumbtack. "I’ll take one of those to hang up while it dries," he replied, scooting off to retrieve the pointy object.
The medic found one without much trouble, and he hung it up cautiously, taking care not to smudge the still-wet paint. At the offer to stay for another painting, Selby glanced up at the sky, gauging the time, and sighed heavily. "Wish I could, Feza, but... I have to stop by the farm before I check on Beck again. I had fun, though, and I’ll be back later to pick up the painting. Thank you." Having said that, he turned slowly, scooped up his bag, and padded away from the scene.
