It was easy to run around but not so easy to make other members of the group understand her. As someone in a supporting role to the captain? Things couldn't stay that way, she needed more practice at finding ways to essentially force the others to understand what she was putting out towards them. Preforming the weekly tasks was one way to do that, her current plan involving a box of objects stashed beneath her large tail as she waited for other pirates to come around.

As far as he is concerned, they are all feral, but this one in particular reminds him of a pet. He could say she was almost as intelligent as his rats but, of course, it is difficult to measure intelligence when he is unable to communicate with her and holds no affinity to her species. He likes to think of his own rodents in high regard to others because he could communicate with them and they were organised. And, perhaps, the fact that Masie hasn't injured or killed any of his creatures gives him a positive perspective of the female. She may be more sentient than he has originally thought, more intelligent than he has given her credit for. Then again, he was very young when he had first met her. He was at an age where he had initially thought that all giant, scaly creatures were dragons and thought dragons were forces of evil rather than just a species.

Of course, as Elijah approaches the feathered reptile, he is not aware that she is working for the Captain and hosting weekly tasks. Instead he curiously peeks his head over, minding his distance between Masie, and looking at the box. "What are you doing there?" The way she is waiting around seems more for a reason than coincidence. She has purpose and meaning for being here. He just has to find out what.
