Alright so the guide is a bit out of date with the traditions, so let's discussing adding some! This is mostly spitballing rn so let me know what you guys think.
- Slaves Earning their Freedom
Right now, it doesn't make much sense how a slave becomes 'free,' so I was thinking we would add some traditions to that. Ex -- a slave who has proven themself capable (by being clever, outright asking to prove loyalty, ect) is sent out in the desert wastes with just enough supplies to get back to the camp. They can flee if they want; but if they do, there's usually someone watching and tracking them from below in the tunnels to stop them, unknown to the character.
This could be posted as a oneshot or just backwritten to be assumed to happen.
- Why slavery?
Since they're located next to a jungle, they actually are in the perfect location for stuff that requires slave labor (at least, traditionally, by human society standards). We could add that the group has a cocoa / cane sugar / coffee plantation? IDK. It'd give them something to trade for, and if we go with coffee, then we can add other coffee things like them being obsessed with coffee lmao
- Revamp on the Combat system
So in the Pitt you can challenge people for their ranks, but we could solidify that a little bit more? We could make it simple that anyone can challenge anyone for anything -- but the challenged is allowed to make up any rules they choose, and the challenger can only choose the time of the challenge.
