The halls of the ruins became surrounded in silence this time of night as everyone tucked themselves into bed it was the perfect time to do anything but nap. Honestly, she had trouble sleeping when it was dead silent her ability to sleep so fragile because too much noise woke her up but silence, expect for her own, drove her crazy. When the night fell like this, she ventured out of the endless walls into the forest beyond to listen to the crickets and other nightlife. In spite of how some may find such setting lonely? It was peaceful for her, especially after Sep had pushed her into a position she knew so little about as if she knew what she was doing. That was how the night began, the large calico slipping out of the ruins teleporting acorss the lake right into the forest, so she didn't have to walk next to water. Dampness? Was comforting but full on water was dangerous for her. Moonlight shone into the forest, highlighting the white on her pelt as she ventured around aimlessly. Since she was not a guard anymore? She didn't even have night patrols to do.

[align=center]SHE LOST HER VOICE DOWN BY THE RIVER, SCREAMING FOR COURAGE
Rosemary took to the evening and night far easier than the day – she hated the glare of the morning sun. Her sleep habits often kept her snoozing the morning away until the early evening, and she kept up the habit regardless of how often someone might awaken her for immediate medical attention. But the Rosebloods, unlike the Typhoon, appeared to hold less idiotic members; she had yet to treat much more than a few dehydrated joiners and their own leader’s broken nose. Minor wounds, compared to what she usually treated from her own family.

Her forked tail twitched behind her as she walked the lakebed, satchel slung over her shoulders. If she came across an interesting herb specimen, she’d likely collect it – but for now, she wanted to enjoy the river silence. Spotting the familiar sight of the calico against the shoreline, the ocelot hesitated. Her steps slowed as she drew closer to the figure. Rosemary rarely interacted with the members of the group beyond the necessary social occasions; even then, she usually counted on Eri at her side. But her croc swam in the lake now, leaving her without his comforting presence.

But her curiosity drew her in. Thus far, the witch never saw another female in the group besides the vizier. Given her opinion on their leader’s unchecked ego, she knew the pharaoh’s right hand had the most authority to act as a balance to Sephiroth’s delusions of godliness. And the vizier was female – Jiyu, if she remembered the calico’s name correctly – which made her more approachable than the messy men of the group. Even if her aura looked off; Rosemary never saw an aura so grey, and never did she see one that flared so bright and brief with all sorts of lights.

And she had to wonder why nobody mentioned anything to Jiyu about this. Everyone appeared to treat the woman with respect befitting her rank, but not a care that her mental state appeared far off balance. So, as the group’s sole physician now that Frightfur disappeared, she supposed it fell on her shoulders. Mental health, after all, should be treated with as much respect as the physical health.

Tilting her head as she finally came up beside the slightly taller calico, Rosemary’s ears flicked momentarily. “Evening, Jiyu. Are you doing alright?” she asked, voice dry and almost cold. Rosemary never managed to show her emotions too well; outward apathy came too easily to her coven, and Rosemary failed to escape those genetic markers. But she meant well, she really did; she wanted to help Jiyu, even if her voice made that difficult to convey and her odd four-eyed gaze seemed strange.

They certainly held less dimwitted members in some regards, injuries that did occur were often minor enough someone didn't seek medical attention for the small scratches. Of course, that could lead to a new kind of dimness in itself, as it also increased the risk someone was going to come down with some sort of serious infection, but her mutated body rarely ever got ill so she didn't worry. Plus? Getting scratched was not a common event right now for the calico and if anyone else died of infection it would only prove her point of how short lived everything was expect, painfully, for herself. Jiyu only really cared to save the life of another when the threat was something she could physically fight some sort of solid enemy she could rip apart and end for good or at least until it came back to life because even some deaths were short lived. The calico hated it, or at least she would if she felt anything, but she didn't feel those things caused too much trouble for her.

Balance was something that some could claim Jiyu knew very well with her vast lifespan of witness behind her. Yet, the Vizer herself believed she knew nothing of the sort of work required by her rank, all she knew was how to hurt someone else. Single eye not covered by her black hair tuft turned to the sound of approaching paw steps, an incredibly light pink light flashing beneath the smog of her own aura against her knowledge. Those extra eyes, that forked tail, that pelt, and the fact the other female was shorter than her, it was sort of thing she would have been instantly attracted to if she had emotions. Jiyu was not daft to the brief period in time she had felt something beneath the coldness she'd lived in mostly her whole life, it was just too painful to feel anything so now she chose to feel nothing. Misery lasted, joy did not, she would not subject herself to their motional world just to have them stab her in the heart again and again when they left her.

Sabered fangs glinted in the moonlight as she listened to the other female, motionless as if she was only a statue, not a single light flickering beneath the smoke for the moment. "Evening, Rosemary." her voice was completely monotone lacking even apathy it was just emptiness her pace matching that which the other feline spoke with. Lights flickered almost entirely snuffed out, Jiyu disliked being confronted one on one by another member of the group, she had less to work with a greater chance of her inability to be Vizer being revealed. How could someone be second in command when they couldn't properly understand those around them?! "I'm physically well." Alright was a feeling more than it was an actual state, she didn't do feelings. Plus, her demons were not the business of healers they never had been in the past even the ones she was friends with knew no one could fix her.

Typically at this point someone would ask the return question, even knowing that lights flickered as Jiyu could not do it. Even returning the simple question given to her in this 'intimate and personal' setting was far too big a risk. If she entertained the healer? Rosemary would keep coming back, that was how these things worked, someone tried, tried and tried until eventually they couldn't try anymore because she hurt them one too many times. Which just made her hurt more because most of the time by that point the last thing she ever wanted was to see them in pain! It was better to never start, to keep her heart frozen, not to 'care'. Of course, teleporting away would likely hurt Rosemary too, so she was trapped here until the healer decided she was done.
