It was beginning to near evening when Meredith left the observatory, seeking to find some semblance of solitude and peace in an effort to clear her mind. The sun was sinking over the horizon and casting its golden light across the land, seeming to make the earth glow with a mellow radiance. The tall grasses of the plains rustled as the last whispers of the wind swept across the earth, breathing a soothing coolness into the air and quietly making the coming night known to the small creatures still meandering the lands.
Meredith would cast her gaze to the mountains in the distance, a gently nipping breeze brushing through her pelt. She would have a subtle smile grace her maw for a few moments more before she continued on.
The snow leopard found rest in the field of flowers, finding an odd sense of serenity with the fauna and flora that resided within it. Her soft, dappled coat seemed to meld with the surrounding greenery as she nestled herself into it, a gentle exhale being all that made her known among the vegetation.
She had not felt like this in many moons and the memories of her youth would settle her busy mind.
Meredith was at peace.
