Each gust of wind has his breath catching in his throat and hiccuping out in scared little stutters, though he's too high in the tree for anyone to hear such a soft little sound. He hadn't stopped when the branches got dense this time. The one he was on now could barely hold the cub's weight, and thin branches stab into his skin and wings. There are already tiny lines of red splitting pale cream fur, and a bit of it across his nose. Should he be afraid of this height? Yeah, probably. And he was, but the world down there felt scarier for the first time. Perseus had gone from fearing nothing to everything in a very short amount of time. But the violence had done more than that, too. Now the world didn't make sense. He'd been exposed to a new side of the world, and suddenly adventuring didn't seem like such a great idea. He shouldn't have come here, when he realized that he was alone he shoulda just... walked the other way. Searched for them. Anything else.
The tiger cub wraps his paws around the branch and sniffles, trying to breathe without so much shaking. He just wanted Jay to tell him that it was over now. Maybe he could explain why someone would do this.
