Tonight's training, unlike the previous sessions, was focused on the mind and how to use it to your advantage. Titan had demonstrated potential in mental abilities before, and his masters would do anything in their power to harness it and utilize it. "I want you to tap into her memories... her mind..." One ordered in a [sub]low,[/sub] gravelly voice.

In front of him stood another cub around his age. She was calm and collected, although something in her eyes hinted that she was anxious for this test. This experiment.

Titan could not help but feel the same way she did; would something happen to her? Happen to him? He took a deep breath and held out his paw, extending his toes and forcing his mental abilities to be cast onto her. "Do you see anything?" Asked he, intrigued by what he was seeing from the cub. It was as if nothing else in the world mattered at that moment — nothing but studying this raw power.

As for the young female, she stared right on back at Titan as he invaded her brain like a parasite. Her voice barely quivered, "It... hurts..." She gulped over a forming lump in her throat, her baby blues ( w i d e ) as saucers, and she repeated, this time more coherently, "It's... it's [i]hurting."[/i]

This did not make Titan stop. His mentor hadn't told him to stop. Why should he stop? He didn't want to let him down. "M-Make it stop, please... it hurts!" Her pleas were loud and clear, piercing and ringing in Titan's ears. As he focused more intently and channeled his concentration into this single task, he began to grit his canines and tremble as raw energy surged between the two of them.

The wavelengths between the two were so powerful, the force and weight of them could nearly be heard with the naked ear. Titan pursed his lips, his breathing hitched as he dove deeper into the depths of her mind. She gasped and let out a choked cry, and eventually began to wail, "Please... PLEASE STOP! MAKE IT STOP! IT HURTS!"

That was when Titan had ceased his mental manipulation, and he released the breath that had been caught in his throat. He took a shaky breath in, his hazy gaze staring dully at the other cub as she quietly sobbed and buried her face into her paws. Even as their mentor stopped beside him and looked down at him to praise, "Incredible..." He still could not wrap his head around what he had done to that poor girl.

But, he was learning to use his powers for good... right?
