    [align=center][div style="max-width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 1.4;letter-spacing:.1px"]/ i forgot about this dude for a week so uh. simple reintroduction sorta thing.

    Since he arrived here so unceremoniously a week ago, Lazarus had spent most of his time sleeping. A healing injury left him exhausted and hot all over, each subtle rock of the ground underneath his feet making him queasy. He would stand and then stumble, go back to sleep for just one more hour. But somehow, he stayed hydrated and kept most of his food down. Bandages changed, wounds closing up. He's nowhere near back to normal, but he's well enough for slow movements and hazy thoughts. The hybrid stood up with his head low, only tossing half-awkward, half-uncertain glances at people he passes by. Buildings here are colorful and bright, painted with pictures that he doesn't entirely understand. He needs to get home, though — people aren't worried, since he's supposed to be dead. That thought still has the hybrid's stomach sinking. He's not entirely over the idea that... maybe it's better this way.

    Uneasy and unhappy, Lazarus finds himself at the edge of Sunhaven's camp, and the source of the rocking. Water. A long, tufted tail lashes behind him and red eyes widen slightly at the sight of it. He had grown up in an empty concrete world, far away from lush grass and blue water. Seeing this leaves him unnerved, but gently so. He wants to say something — anything — but he doesn't know what and there's nobody here, anyway. So he sits, tail flicking slowly against the bandage across his hind leg.

    [align=center][div style="max-width: 340px; line-height:120%; font-family: calibri; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; margin-bottom:5px"]Course of time, savage beast tearing through the threads of each life, uncaring to the events finding their beginning or conclusion within its wake. A great deal had passed since the creature deemed Esma – bitter such a name, curling about a tongue that sought the weight of something more – had permitted themself chance to socialise with another. Rare had become the angular features curved back, savage grin found home upon lips toned in a dark shade, hidden as it might have been by weight of leather and thin wood. There was no distinct lack in their presence, but a minor player within this, scheme playing out beyond the curtains closed about unsure thoughts.

    It had not been such simplistic a want as companion, a shoulder upon which to lean or an ear that may be forth coming of any words silvered tongue may utter within its direction, rather it was more base. Hunger curled stomach, left it grumbling as heavy the presence of it settled about a frame grown thin. Annoyed groan escaped lips drawn back from the sharp curve of teeth as the first touches of light found dark eyes, unaccustomed to such after a great deal of time shut away, working on various projects. Slow was it all to come together, pieces of it missing still and so they had to deal with each in turn.

    It mattered not how slow and halting it was progress was being made, pace quickening as the year drew towards it conclusion with startling speed.

    Brief the flick of gaze, attention finding the stranger nothing more than an oddity, yet back it was drawn as mind ticked over possibility. Short fur seemed to give way to leather, skin stretched and tight in patterning of scale, yet the weight of a mane about neck spoke of something else. Gentle hum pushed through the hard line of pursed lips, interest within this other enough to shift their prior direction towards him. For a time there was no words as gaze moved along the figure the hybrid presented, aspects clear about the broad shape, drawn together with no real care as to who the product at the end may look.

    “It is water,” gentle voice, strange as the words leave their tongue. Fictional brow quirks in look of curiosity, the touch of a small smile upon their lips. “Have you not seen it before?”

    Water could easily been seen as the lifeblood of the world. Something that kept everything moving and shaped the very land that they walked upon. The sea had once been her home for a very long time and it had taught her a lot of things when she was something she would rather forget. The experiences of her past life would always stay with her but she could never regret what she had gone through to get the to point that she had. Right now she had caught the words of Esma as she had been passing by. Her head tilted to the side as she paused to take in his words, it seemed he was talking to someone that she hadn't picked up on and so her curiosity got the best of her. The hellbeast moved then to make her way over to the area and she allowed herself to pause for just a moment, one paw raised just slightly above the ground. Her snake like gaze lingered for a moment on the stranger for a moment before she walked a bit closer and gave a light dip of her head in greeting. "Ya look like ya been through a tough time. Um, ya need something? Name's Marina by the way and this here is Esma."
