Plenty of times he'd been able to witness the wonders of the world from the safety of the patrols, yet the Starstruck Guardian had refused to go out further than his limits regardless of his insatiable curiosity. It was too dangerous for a small cat, with the murderer situation at home causing paranoia in everyone the feline knew better than to worry everyone by disappearing to explore. Until now that was. With more time to talk to the locals, some of the veterans had made it clear that there were old accomplices to the group who hadn't atoned for doing wrong in the world, if such actions were left unpunished then Ren feared that everyone would turn corrupt or cower before the weak masquerading as the strong. 

Being a one man army wasn't ideal, nor was pretending that he had mastered every power given to him this month, overconfidence distorted his own feelings however. The feline pushed himself through the jungle, sticking to thick foliage and the shadows to avoid going head first with a patrol. Once or twice there had been a close call where a dog had sniffed around the bushes he'd been hiding in, or a pirate had heard a twig snapping underneath dainty paws, by the time he got anywhere deep in the territory Ren's heartbeat was roaring in his ears. A target may have been found, a crime may've been leaked by gossiping NPCs, but until face to face with the humid territory the Guardian had admittedly forgotten that other enemies existed. He swallowed a lump in his throat, moving and rustling in the undergrowth once more when he believed the coast was clear.

A far cry from the empty spaces in the Ascendant's land, Ren was at least grateful for all of the cover. Grey eyes flickered all over the place, looking for life behind all the various greens as he searched for the one known as 'Beck'. Supernatural abilities may've been discovered, but for now, it seemed that the feline lacked heightened senses or another thing to track others easier. Perhaps asking his conscious nicely would provide results... ugh, he couldn't joke at a time like this, he needed to concentrate.
