apolaki is a larger variation of the asian wild dog, standing 40 inches in shoulder height and measuring 55 inches in head-and-body length; unlike his kind, his pelt is closer to a vivid amber shade and marked with dark red stripes around the neck and tail-base. from between his shoulder blades, a pair of large wings unfurl, 65 inches in wingspan and built like an eagle's. his teeth are matched with a secondary row inside his mouth, and sabertooth fangs frame either side of his chin. he wears a thin golden chain around his neck with a single wooden bead etched with baybayin symbols that translate to 'araw' in his native language.
