mostly the music linux had heard were the ones from her games; chiptune or maybe midi formats that were only digital recreations of what real instruments could produce. it was never the real thing. wasn't that sad? linux thought that was sad, but she also had no idea what a true musical instrument sounded like. so what really could she be sad about?
playing around with buttons on a newer version of a ds linux had found, the ivory child found herself going into parts of the machine she had never encountered before. it was all so exciting! pushing and pushing, linux kept herself going further and further down the rabbit hole the ds left her with until she found something worthy of stepping back and admiring. it was only a matter of time until linux found that golden sweet spot - and she did. even the ebony egg beside her twitched at the sounds now emanating from the toy, things like of which linux had never heard before. sweet sounds, harsh sounds, sounds linux never thought possible; human voices. quickly the child amped the volume and let these sounds be free from their pink metallic cage and let them be heard like whoever had created them had intended. "wow.."
