☀ — just two ghosts standing in the place of you and me

Pierce had been assigned two options for his weekly tasks this week- one, hold a house party, and two, hold some sort of pumpkin carving thing. He would have chosen pumpkin carving, since he couldn't deny, he was super excited for fall to really come, but he didn't think it'd be as accessible to everyone. Plus, he wasn't gonna lie, he was afraid he wouldn't be good at it. How embarrassing would it be, to hold an event and then not even be able to do the activity the event was centered around? No thanks. A house party, though, that'd be nice. He would decorate and put together some games- maybe he could even get some of his clanmates to help him make some food.
It'd taken a couple days to get things organized, but soon enough, it was ready and he had sent out invitations.
When one arrived at Pierce's home, they would step up to a door that was held open by a sizable rock he had found to sit in front of it. Inside, he had cleaned up a bit, and added extra cushions and pillows to make more space for anyone who wanted a cozy place to sit. He had also hung fairylights around the entirety of the room, just to brighten things up a bit. In the kitchen, he had lined the table with all sorts of snacks, like little sliders, a salad bowl, some chips, and all kinds of sweets. He had stocked his little fridge with all sorts of drinks, including fruit punch and lemonade, as well as a couple types of soda, though he had caved and added a couple cans of beer. He didn't like the stuff, or alcohol in general, much, but he figured he might as well offer it instead of have people be upset or even bring a bunch of their own. Music played from his little CD player, likely classic rock, and he had stacked up supplies for a few different games beside his bookshelf, including a few board games, some slips of paper, and a glass bottle (was it possible that was for spin the bottle? It wasn't much like Pierce, but who knew?).
Now, he sat, a book laid before him as he lounged upon some of his sitting cushions in the living room, waiting for the first of his guests to arrive. Hopefully, it wouldn't be too long- he had stated on the invitations that the party was starting at six.
