After traveling for an entire season, Shining had gotten too used to the motions of walking. One paw in front of another, the motor functions numbed into muscle memory. It felt strange to sit and rest, no matter how tired he felt. Shining had woken up, and immediately set out to travel the territory. No time set aside to eat, or chat. Up and moving. He patrolled the meadow and flower field, down to the Canopy, when second nature came to light. The feline started collecting various herbs and plants, whatever he could find. Some didn't have much use, purely for decoration or visual pleasure. Others had some medical properties, ranging with a variety of effects.

It was a bit of trouble carrying it all. But his wings helped out- they kept everything pressed together on his back, preventing the plants from falling off. Shining walked back into the Observatory, intent on depositing his collection in the Clerics' Hide. How many times had he done something similar back home? Collect herbs, bring them back to camp, store them for later use. It kept him busy, that was for sure. Kept him distracted.

during her life as a human...well, an a.i., she would also go through many similar things in order to keep her "distracted". however, the methods were far more severe than that of shininglight's; involving intense training sessions that could spell your death if you do so much as one wrong move. for the agent, it was more so a workout session that someone would do at least three times a week. despite these apparently challenging sessions being near child's play, she found some enjoyment in doing them. it would help her pass the time when she wasn't summoned to go be the director's little pet; it would help her look past the stress of the world falling on top of her. she felt alive and carefree, all-the-while going full try- hard or else she'll be at risk of getting the boot. even now, she commits herself to training sessions in order to get fully adjusted to this new body of hers. honestly, she liked this new physical change, it suited her quite nicely.

coming from one of her personal sessions, she came across one of the natives here who would appear to be collecting herbs and bringing them back to camp. she pondered if those herbs would be utilized for some form of medicinal products, or maybe even food; the first guess makes more sense. noticing that there really weren't any medkits in this world yet, tex supposed that she should learn the different kinds of herbs that could be used for healing. she definitely doesn't plan on becoming a medic of any kind, but it would be good to have that knowledge under her belt when she's on her own. swift, curious strides were made towards the smaller feline as her tail flicked from side to side - her favorite. "mind showing me what these herbs are for?" the lioness would inquire as she took a seat somewhere near wherever shininglight was. time to be nice, she supposed.

    SUITE
    HEART
It was the smell of fresh herbs and plants that drew her from her walk. The scent always mellowed her, but maybe that was because one of the many souls intertwined with hers was just below the surface. Suiteheart had always had an interest in healing, and she supposed that was due in part to Asa, the apothecary. She was one of the oldest versions of herself, and while she wasn't necessarily the strongest, she was often always present in situations such that dealt with the healing arts.

Having turned from her current path, the white feline was now headed towards Shininglight. It seemed someone else had beat him there, and she recognized the lioness as Texas. Suite had yet to really get to interact with either of them, so this was a good start! Allowing a lopsided grin to mark her features, she neared the both of them.

"Hey, guys. What kinda goods've you got, Shine?""

    MAKE ME QUEEN OR
    I'LL MAKE YOU BLEED
The next to arrive was Margaery, that sunshine-y smile of hers dancing brightly upon her lips as she halted besides Suiteheart. Like her wife, she had not been acquainted with either Texas or Shininglight and figured that this was as good an opportunity as any to change that. [b]"Hello all," She hummed, her faux cheery mood hard to see through. In reality, she was still struggling with many facets of her life but refused to break down- not yet anyways. She had responsibilities to tend to, children to care for, a life to lead... there was no time for her to dwell on the things that bothered her, even if that was immensely unhealthy.

"Participating in the Halo tryouts too, love?" Margaery continued, dismissing her thoughts as she focused her attention primarily on Shininglight. They certainly had many good candidates, she was interested to see who would be getting it. "One of these days I need to sit down and teach myself a thing or two about healing," She laughed, "I feel like it's a good skill to have at your disposal." She supposed she could add it to her massive list of things to do, right under 'coming to terms with your problems'. She'd get to it eventually...

And she would say, it helped being an immortal.

He had intended to walk straight to the Cleric's Hide, not because he was busy and had somewhere to be afterwards. Shine hadn't made any plans whatsoever- he was simply moving about freely, from one place to the next. No guidance, no goal. Just had to... do something. Even if it was simply staring at the sky, listening to the water as it moved down the river. "Follow the river..." The feline was stopped by an approaching lioness. Shine did not recognize them. He turned his head slowly, eyes steady as their words processed. Show the herbs...

Then another came around- this one he recognized as Suiteheart. Shine had seen her around a few times already, but they had only spoken at his first arrival. She was asking about his 'goods', and it took him a moment to realize what she actually meant. "Ah..." Shine muttered, dropping one of his wings and allowing the herbs to roll out onto the floor in one small pile. There was quite a variety, so Shine picked one at random- whatever was on top- and took a moment to examine it.

A plant with light-green leaves. There were creamy white flowers decorating the plant. "Goatweed. Anxiety, stress. Use in lots of ways." He set it aside and grabbed the next one. It smelled sharp, and had a long stem, with crinkly leaves. "Parsley. Bellyache. Don't give to the new mothers. No milk, no milk for the kits..." Shine paused before grabbing the next one, seeing another Ascendant show up. They too looked familiar, although the female's name escaped him.

The inquiry of Halo tryouts seemed to confuse the feline. "Tryouts... Never heard," Shine muttered, shifting his attention back to the herbs. He knew nothing of the Halo tryouts, it seemed. He pulled out a long stalk, with purple bell flowers along the top end. His eyes stared at it for a moment, growing sad. After a long drawn out moment, he pushed it aside, muttering under his breath.
