ELVIRA
Elvira.
A thing of beauty. A thing of mystery. A woman surrounded by love and life. Yet, a woman filled with hatred and darkness. A bringer of death and dispare. Yet, a delicate being that can love with the fury of a thousand suns.
Many wonder what a fragile woman is doing married to him? What does he see in someone as weak as her? Why waste his time on such a woman? There are more options. Better ones. If only they knew the truth. If only they knew who she truly was.
Then again, if they knew who she was those questions would just change. The whispers would be different. Their opinions spoken as though she was deaf. Why love a monster? Julius is not like her. How could he let her rule beside him?
Questions dancing on the tongues of those that did not matter to her. They meant nothing as long as he was happy. She would kill for him to be happy. She had killed for him without a second thought. She witnessed his joy at becoming lord.
She would never admit that to anyone. She would never confirm the rumors of her actions. She would never let them see the truth in her form. A creepy queen of the dead with a knack for killing. She was the true danger behind the rule of Julius.
She was the one that made sure his words were obeyed. She was the one that crushed uprisings. Made threats vanish into the night. She protected him and he loved her. That was their secret. He knew what she was and he still loved her. She would never fail him and that was the bottom line. She would draw her last breathe before she let her beloved down.
Elvira.
The only one that could full them all. She played the game and won the prize in the end. Now it was only a matter of time. The woman could never hide it forever. No one truly could. Yet, she tried to keep herself contained. Not for her, oh no. She did it for him.
Jade green eyes flicked open as she finally woke from her slumber. Nestled in the coffin she shared with Julius. The faded red beauty marred with the dried blood like swirls would slowly rise to her paws and stretch in luxurious form. Maw parting in a yawn that exposed razor sharp fangs. Teeth that have drawn blood many times over. Teeth that took life over and over.
She stretched her larger scarlet bat wings as she leaps out of her bed. Wings slowing her down as she landed silent on the floor. The smaller black feathered wings behind her ears twitching slightly as she gazed about her. It was dusk and it was feeding time. A time she enjoyed so passionately.
Nails painted in blood of those fallen would click softly on the floor as she moved from her home and into the murky shadows of sunset. The beauty was, as always, wearing her spiked choker and all four matching bracelets. Skull ring on a string about her neck.
Her wedding ring.
The one she chose and loved. Her crown of bones was soon set to the side as she was ready to hunt. Nestling it safely away into the nook of a tree. She knew where to find it. She never lost her things.
Slowly, she started her hunt. Deciding on feral blood this night. The killer queen was soon on the back of a young rabbit. Holding it as she drained its very life. Remorseless as always, she would toss the corpse aside before going back for her crown. Stopping only to collect said item and place it upon her head.
Next stop?
No one knew. Not even her.
