Eon let out a growl as he rose from the grass, Leveling a strong glare at whoever interrupted him. Thr rabbit he had been about to make chase too had already fled. He sighed and spoke with a gruff tone addressing the stranger in the way one would talk to a particularly unpleasant relative. “What are you doing sneakin’ up on me? You cost me m’ lunch ya know.” His ears where pinned back as he spoke it was as if he was trying to radiate his displeasure.

Flicking an ear as she stood up from the grasses, fixing the older brute with a dismal glance, "And you cost me a catch.", she copped back at the wolf, the lioness shaking her pelt out. Sighing, she licked a smarting paw, "Well, we both empty stomachs", she commented, ruefully watching the pheasant she'd been stalking take flight. Flicking an ear as she gazed back to Eon, "Dont catch many wanderers round here.", she spoke as she lifted her head to sniff the air, shaking herself once more following a loud sneeze.

He gave another huff, Staring at her with a critical eye. His catch was already long gone. So there is not much he can do besides mope about it and he’s not one for moping. “I’ Don like following a leader, Especially fresh-faced start ups.” He wrinkled his nose as she sneezed though he did lift his nose to the air. Before turning back to her “You aligned with one of those folk?”

Staring back, she rolled her shoulder and sat down, licking a paw and drawing it over her ear. Pausing as she shuffled the triple toned glass-like dragonfly wings upon her back, the lioness continued to groom herself, drawing her paw over her whiskers, "To each their own. You'll have more luck interactin' with the groups, or any other bands of wanderers come hard times but I ain't one to push. Aye. The swamps are my home, and where I've lost enough people for their ghosts to haunt me.", she paused for a moment as she gazed around them with a squint of her eyes, "... It's quiet out in these parts, ain't it? I'm used to the jungle and swamp, constant sound. The storm didn't do much for making it more appealing out here, though most of the prey lurks 'round here now.", she spoke, feeling her stomach snarl.

Chuckling, the lioness yawned and stood up to stretch, grooming at a fairly fresh wound on her foreleg, "Say, what's your name? 'm Mer.", she interrupted her own grooming to ask his name, shaking her head with a soft merp as a bug zipped past her ear.
