Was she even ready to talk about the things Caesar had done? Not just to her, but many others? Atbash was still coming to terms with everything; the fact that Caesar was a murderer, the fact that he broke a promise, the fact that he hurt so many people here in the lands of Beyond... Atbash still despite everything believed he was just misunderstood, that no one was willing to listen to him. She had learned that she couldn't trust him, personally, given how he had lured her to be captured by the Coalition, but she still believed he could solve all his anger just by talking to someone.

"S-sorry," Atbash stammered once she realized she had been staring off into space, flinching whenever Merlin reached out to touch her shoulder. The touch snapped her out of her thoughts, forcing her back into reality so she could focus on the calico's words. "I.. don't think I'm ready to talk about him yet." At least, not in a bad light...

?? ?????????  《》 drawing back her paws at the flinch, she smiled faintly, "sorry, too soon", she chuckled lightly, tucking her paw back under her body as she listened to her speak. "it's alright atbash. we don't have to talk about him. how about we talk about something else? i remember seeing a few pretty flowers on our way here, or rather what flowers could grow in a swamp in the middle of the winter to early spring.", she chuckled softly, not wanting to push her one way or another.

Atbash seemed a little better after the offer to go pick flowers, straightening up and perking her ears, a smile coming back to her face. "I'd love to, actually. I haven't had the time to go searching myself." She chirped. It would be nice not to worry about things for a while; things had definitely been stressful since she joined. And now, being a Shaderunner, meant she had other duties to worry about too.

A break would be nice.

?? ?????????  《》 a soft and pleasant smile broke over her lips, giving her a kind smile, "then let's go", she chuckled, setting her mug down after finishing her hot cocoa, a soft trill escaping her as she stretched her forepaws out with a soft mew, fur settling back into place as she yawned. slipping from the sofa to continue her stretch, being careful not to knock over anything that belonged to the other, her ears perked up as she waited for atbash to join her. when the shaderunner had come down, she would head for the door, taking the lead to see if she could remember where the blooms had been.

she wanted to be able to help her have time to herself, time to relax and enjoy herself.
