Today he’d be leading a hunting patrol - likely they’d end up going beyond the bounds again to find anything significant but they all had to eat, one could not starve forever and expect it to be any progress past a certain point.
”those of you who’re hungry better come with me - we’re going hunting” to hopefully find something bigger than the tiny lizards in the entreat vicinity of the caverns, even a stray wanderer caught on the border would be worth it.
