it was clear that the orange tabby was a bit behind in proper communication. no fault of his or starks, even, as it had been the result of clear negligence. only ever hearing his name called from his mother, the sign it was okay to come out and eat and play, was also one of the very few words she ever spoke to him. more often than not she was gone from dawn till dusk. pursuing her own means of food before her own child's.

ever since meeting stark and eventually the elysium, larkspurkit had heard far more words and voices than he ever had before. his last interaction with them had been criticizing his eating habits. the same word had been repeated on a multitude of times, and it slowly clicked and geared through the kittens mind.

he remained in the safety of their camp, crouch down and stalking a centipede. "BUG!" he yelled, leaping a few inches forward ahead of the insect and trying to stomp his paws on it, only for his reflexes to be too slow and miss it multiple times. "BUG! BUG! BUG!"

Only saying the same few words had made the dragon curious. Why was such the case? She couldn't grasp it, and never bothered to ask. Hearing another word coming from the other? That had been enough to warrant her bounding over, talons sending her scrabbling. It was the other speaking, and whatever he was trying to catch, that brought her over. Her ears were raised as she listened- yes, this was a new word. "Yea, bug!" The dragon echoed, watching the other repeatedly launch at the centipede.

"I dunno whuzzit kind of bug it is, but it's bug!" Sanzu added on. She lowered and pressed her head to the ground, to get more eye level with the bug's skittering escape from Larkspurkit's attempts to ensnare the bug. Her ears were raised high, and her tail arched over her back as she watched. "C'n I help? I wanna help catch th' bugs!" She squealed, lowering the rest of her body into some form of a makeshift crouch. Her head remained pressed against the ground, watching while her long tail rapidly wagged behind her.

APPEARANCE.

— a small, 4 month old, foot and a half tall dragon. She is essentially monochromed in shades of greens. Yellow horns curl back from this hatchling's head and slope upwards. Her snout ends in something akin to a beak, allowing for her to crack into shelled fruits and vegetables. A singular spike sticks out from between her snout and the end of her mouth. Large ears allow for this tiny dragon to hear with ease. The ends of her ears have deeper green tufts on them. Her deep green wings are small, and will take time to grow in. Her grey eyes are broken by the red coloration of her iris. Her sharp teeth part to reveal a glowing green tongue. Her talons in the front are sharp as needles, while her hind feet have more thicker claws. Her tail is long and prehensile and allows for her whole body to be suspended by such alone. A line of scales go alongside each sides of her throat. A row of scales descends from the back of her head to the end of her tail, which ends with a tuft of bright yellow fur. Her chest has a row of bent spikes that descend down to her stomach, where they then turn to tiny nubs.
